🚨 BREAKING: Donald Trump says he wants to keep home prices high so homeowners “stay wealthy” — and explicitly says prices shouldn’t come down so people who “didn’t work very hard” can buy a home. Let’s be clear about what that means. He’s saying housing affordability is a problem he does not want to solve.

If we saw each other for who we really are, would we change how we treat one another? I think we would! And the world would be a better place for it. Look past the labels. Let's strive for more patience and understanding and treat each other as children of God.

@CamCamgeorge87 @Papa_Ostler Key term in there is "due process." Without it, laws are violated and human rights are abused. Grateful that my parents taught me that two wrongs don't make a right.

@Papa_Ostler I'm shocked in the same sentence that you're heart is breaking for the transgender community, but you won't support ICE and you're fine with illegal immigrants that come in and murder, rape and pillage, smuggle drugs into the US which is killing our youth, and traffic kids.

Dear Grandchildren, Someday when you are older and studying U.S. History, you may wonder how your grandfather felt about political issues during the Trump administration. Well, I wanted you to know: 1. I did not vote for Trump (and I have voted for Republicans presidents in the past and haven’t ruled out voting for a Republican in the future). While there are some elements of the Republican platform that I support, Trump is the opposite of everything I believe. He is the closest example to King Noah in the Book of Mormon of any political leader in my lifetime. Like the people in King Noah’s day, many were blinded by him even though he probably helped some—but eventually saw King Noah for who he really was. As a country, I hope we can do the same with Trump. 2. Further, I worry that Trump's influence on future generations will be more destructive than his presidency. I believe he is teaching people (especially younger individuals searching for a role model of “success”) to adopt tactics such as lying, gaslighting, being unfaithful, dishonest, unkind, not taking responsibility, and creating fear about groups of people where no fear should exist. I hope and pray that others will step forward to be better role models and follow our ultimate role model—Jesus Christ. 3. In spite of all this, I was relieved that Trump survived his assassination attempt, as I felt it would have led to further violence and hate. Trump—like every member of the human family—is a child of Heavenly Parents and my spiritual brother. No one should be killed. 4. I do not support ICE. I am heartbroken that ICE “law enforcement” goes around in masks and can detain people without due process and in such violent and aggressive ways. Renee Nicole Good should be alive today. So many good people are living in fear—and it breaks my heart. That being said, I support our law enforcement officers working within established laws to maintain law and order. 5. My heart hurts for the way we are treating transgender people—perhaps best articulated by the heartbreaking words of Levi Martin (a transgender young man who died by suicide at age 17 in Dec 2022) in his suicide note "I am terrified how we treat transgender people." My trans friends are some of the finest individuals I know, contributing to society in so many ways. I formed my opinions about trans people by being with and listening to them—not from loud voices trying to gain a fear-based following by demonizing them. Jesus gained a following not on fear—but by love to everyone—especially those on the margins. As I study world history, I see a pattern where we sometimes create community around the fear of others (ethnic minorities, religious minorities, sexual minorities, immigration status, etc.) leading to painful chapters in world history (Holocaust, Bosnian War, Native American Removal, Salem witch trials, etc). I believe are making the same mistake today regarding transgender people. I will continue to do all I can to love and support my trans friends. Please don’t fall into the “trap of unearned opinions.” Learn about trans people—from trans people. 6. I stopped watching cable news. I now recognize during Mitt Romney's presidential run (which I wanted him to win) that I consumed Fox News—not looking for objective content, but rather content that supported my positive view of Romney and negative view of Obama—called confirmation bias. I also watched the right-wing propaganda film “2016: Obama’s America,” which claimed Obama had a secret second-term agenda (completely false). Later, in a moment of deep reflection and spiritual rebuke, I realized I was not interested in an objective facts but in a fear-based narrative that their viewers (like me) wanted. Please be better than your grandfather—look for objective news sources and those that keep you curious and challenge your assumptions. And if you feel differently than your grandpa—that is OK. Always love you ❤️ I hope you are living in a kinder and gentler world. Love, Grandpa ♥️

My dad devoted nearly 30 years of his life to Utah football. As his daughter, my whole childhood was shaped by the sacrifices my dad made for Utah football. Seeing a lifetime of loyalty, sacrifice, and dedication being dismissed so harshly now is heartbreaking.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. It’s about oil and regime change. And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from Epstein + skyrocketing healthcare costs.

As college football coaches, due to our new annual college football schedule, there aren’t consecutive “Days Off” like we used to have in the past, thus the reason I’m taking advantage of these next few days off — starting today. Context: this is the first time the Atuaia family has been together as one unit since 2020 Covid Christmas. We got up this morning (11am😂) to ready ourselves for a FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT that hasn’t happened since 2017 due to 3 LDS missions, 3 job changes, 3 moves to 3 different states, and mostly the multiple excuses I’ve given NOT to be available for this event. After the Photoshoot, our kids wanted to go to Savage Fish in Millcreek for Pokē. My kids know a little about it, but we (Liz and I) have a Christmas story concerning the owners of Savage Fish. 16 years to the day, we were at BYU struggling financially as I was a full time graduate student and Liz a stay-at-home Mom with our 6 young kids to look after. Literally, every penny went to pay for our daily survival. On this day (23rd) these angels on earth came to our 2 bed/1 bath Wymount Terrace apartment to save Christmas for 6 little kids and 2 thankful parents. Today, as I watched each of my kids order their pokē bowl, the same who were blessed by the owners of Savage Fish years ago, I tugged at Liz’s sweater to reminder her of that day. She smiled and simply said “Tender mercies.” Right now, I’m typing this and drinking my kava while listening to all 7 of my kids, led by the oldest child in our family, putting together over a hundred “GIFT PACKAGES” to personally handout to less fortunate folks outside homeless shelters, multiple public parks, and other areas frequented by this demographic in Salt Lake City area. My kids, not prompted by me in anyway, have done this everywhere we’ve lived in the past: Charlottesville Virginia, Pullman Washington, and now Salt Lake City, Utah. We have been the beneficiaries of other people’s kindness all our lives (including recently with a stranger saving my wife’s life—a stranger we have not found yet), paying it forward is simply just the right thing to do. If we have any juice left tonight, we’ll likely do our annual Christmas Song for the online masses. Or, we’ll just mixx as a family and enjoy laughing like crazy. Either way, it’s been an awesome day.

The numbers are clear: in just 10 months, Americans are bringing home roughly $1,200 more thanks to President Trump’s policies. Families feel the difference—and no amount of spin from the liberal media can bury that fact. breitbart.com/economy/2025/1…

@NateMorris Great point, Nate. To help American's better understand this incredible peace proposal offer, we should cede Kentucky to another potential invader nation as a show of goodwill alignment.

Mitch McConnell is 100% wrong on Ukraine. Mitch has offered no plan or vision to find peace between Ukraine and Russia, only more endless war and more attacks on President Trump. I'm running for Senate because Kentucky deserves an America First Senator, not Mitch McConnell 2.0.
JD Vance@JDVance

This is a ridiculous attack on the president's team, which has worked tirelessly to clean up the mess in Ukraine that Mitch--always eager to write blank checks to Biden's foreign policy--left us. I wonder if the three candidates to replace McConnell in Kentucky share his views here.

@JDVance Sure, Ukraine should agree to cede territory to an invader nation But to better align, the US should adhere to similar terms. We'll give Florida to...hmm...who wants it?

After being hilariously and pathetically wrong in his prediction that President Trump would lose the 2024 election, Mitch McConnell has now spent all of 2025 doing nothing but working to undermine the MAGA agenda at ever turn. He voted against several members of his cabinet, sided with Dems to oppose Trump's tariffs, fought against nuking the filibuster, and is now attacking President Trump for working to end the Russia/Ukraine war.

I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution. Trump doesn’t understand the Constitution, and we're all less safe for it.
