Congratulations @MaybinPeyton of @NHHS_Baseball_ on Your Commitment to @UnionUsc Peyton is one of the top LHPs west of Charlotte and has put together a solid resume in his High School career, including an All-State Selection in 2024. I've always been a fan of his low slot and tilt metrics along with his ability to attack batters with confidence and tenacity for a few seasons now. The JUCO Route will serve Maybin well as he'll face off against some of the top Offensive rosters in NJCAA while at Union. The last time @NH_knights sent a Baseball Prospect to @uscunion, it worked out very well (eg. @Braydencorn21, @Mariners) USC Union has been good to our WNC prospects in the past, so if you're a high-level prospect seeking JUCO in our Region, start off by checking in with the Bantams @WesRogers1830 @Chris_Womack @acthshuddle @VeloBaseballWNC @NovaXkinetics

My favorite to win the newly formed Mountain 8 Conference this Spring is @AthleticsPisgah. There are a lot of recognizable names at the top of the Bears roster, but it will be players like 2027 OF @masonyoungbb27 that will really determine how deep this roster really is and what it can accomplish Still new to the game, Young is a good athlete, that will be asked to hold down a Corner OF spot and give productive ABs further down in the lineup to compliment some of the more experience bats ahead of him However, he's starting to flash a bat tool & could be a pleasant surprise for Coach Shepperd offensively: good barrel, stays on plane, hips and hands work well together. Getting stronger will be the best way to take advantage of that foundation as there is a need for more pop & bat speed Has made a lot of gains quickly; needs to embrace role player archetype this season, do the little things right, be reliable, keep working and let the bigger gains come at their own pace. Athletic 5'11" 165 frame 3.66 GPA w/ a desire to pursue a degree on Education (Ag Teacher)

We had 2026 LHP @MaybinPeyton of @NHHS_Baseball_ out for a high-intent Bullpen w/ @novapitching on 10/4 using @pitchlogic Peyton is an All-State arm that just fills it up & gets outs comfortably at 80-83. However, we put emphasis on moving faster and asked Peyton to just let it go. FB was up to 87 and sitting comfortably at 84-86! Threw his secondaries afterwards, and I think the high intent FBs actually opened up the door for some additional action on the CB/SL. He's going to be a good one to track over the next few seasons as I feel he'll eventually make his way to a D1, high D2 level program bc you can't deny his ability to "shove"

Very exciting 2027 RHP Pitching Prospect coming out of @WESTHHSBASEBALL in @patrickauten7 6'6" 195 frame. Raw, needs to move quicker, but a lot to like about the composure and potential w/ Auten. He was able to get some Varsity exposure last year, including a Playoff Appearance vs Lake Norman. Will be relied up on more this season. FB was 79-80, touching 81 MPH w/ spins up to 2336. Has some arm speed; lots of room to improve separation. Tall release point. CB doesn't have elite spin, but I really like the shape and usage; its a good pitch. I think this kid will throw 90 if he goes all in on physicality and range of motion. VERY high academic prospect,4.13 GPA w/ an interest in Business/Finance. Played for @VeloBaseballWNC this past Summer

2027 OF @masonyoungbb27 of @AthleticsPisgah has quietly made gains, catching up to some of his Pisgah Senior teammates. Mason started playing baseball in 7th grade and has become a lot more comfortable with the speed of the game in that time frame. Mason had a lot of competitive ABs and barreled XBHs for Coach Sheppard's JV Bears; Mason then carried that approach over into the Summer season with @VeloBaseballWNC Steady eyes in the OF, fairly good body control as he works on more fluid routes. I see potential in the swing as he gets on plane fairly well. Actually looked more comfortable and athletic in his set up during the JV/Summer season; want to see that carry over 7.27 runner, but wiry athletic frame says he can improve. Two full seasons for a coachable athlete who wants to study Education or Agriculture w/ the goal of becoming an Ag Teacher. 3.66 GPA

2027 RHP @HolbrookCo71505 of @EHHSBASEBALL burst on the scene when he threw a 1-0 CG Shutout vs Tuscola this past Spring Cole is part of a strong pitching core quietly emerging out of East. His FB was up to 81 mph; he showed solid shapes & spins on the breaking stuff; strong frame already holding good weight. Also a primary catcher with good Offensive projection (Player Position film in the Thread) High academic 4.3 GPA, interested in studying Exercise Science; played this summer with @VeloBaseballWNC @TNoble0013 @CalebPenner5

One of the hardest-working student athletes in WNC, 2026 IF/RHP @BraydenDavis742 of @ACR_Baseball made Physicality & Strength goals his freshman year, and now, as a senior, he's pushing 6 ft 190 He started rattling the fences w/ the stick this past Spring which will help his versatility play up as he can find his way into the line up through a few different positions. Looking to be a leader during his Senior Year as ACR will be sporting a lot of underclass talent this Spring @Michael_Staicar @VeloBaseballWNC

Post summer stats: I batted .356 with a .942 OBP and .489 SLG, totaling 16 hits. On the mound, I had a 3.7 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 19 innings (2 championship appearances). Thank you to all my coaches and teammates! #AGTG @VeloBaseballWNC @netelitebasebal @GPHSHighlanders

The last travel ball tourney-went out hot. Team won the championship at app state.batted 11-15 on the weekend with 6 rbi’s, scored 8 runs. Pitched 5 innings with 5 strike outs, played middle infield. Had a great time playing with velocity.
