WILYER ABREU HOW COULD I EVER BE UPSET WHEN YOU DO SOMETHING SO COOL

BREAKING: In our case, challenging the Trump-Vance administration’s cuts to FEMA, a federal court has ordered discovery, including a deposition of Kristi Noem. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. @DemocracyFwd

“Long Live The King? Spotting the difference between ‘muscular unitary executive’ and ‘monarchy’ is getting tougher by the day.” You can access the new episode of Slate’s “Amicus” podcast via this link. #227870" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">howappealing.abovethelaw.com/2025/02/24/#22…

1/ ‼️JUST RELEASED‼️ Important updates to PRP’s research with @The_LSSC about attacks on local prosecutors. Our whitepaper Preempting Progress: States Take Aim at Local Prosecutors catalogs a sharp uptick in attempts to limit the discretion of local elected prosecutors — particularly those who have said they won’t prioritize abortion prosecutions — as well as successful efforts to push back against these efforts. Column | The once-normal, supposed-to-be-reasonable, maybe-at-one-time-halfway-decent-lawyer Ashely Moody, Florida's attorney general, really whiffed this one. jacksonville.com/story/news/col…

‼️Update‼️on the Florida Abortion Ballot Amendment case… abortion will be on the 2024 Florida ballot🎉 This election, Florida voters can add abortion rights to the state constitution and overturn the state’s six week ban that will decimate abortion access in Florida and the southern United States. The fight for the rights of Floridians is not over, but for now we’re celebrating an important success. Thanks to @flprotectfree and a coalition of health care providers and civil rights advocates including @ACLUFL, @PPACtionFl, @FLRising, and @1199SEIUFlorida. Next stop: the FL polls.🗳

1/ ❗FILED❗: On the heels of #Ohio’s repro victory, PRP has filed on behalf of 10 former Florida Republican officials, arguing that the @flcourts should allow voters to add explicit protection for abortion rights to the state constitution. Read it here: static1.squarespace.com/static/592c864…

There’s another abortion case at the U.S. Supreme Court next month—one that could jeopardize uniform availability of emergency care. And today, on behalf of 32 prosecutors & law-enforcement leaders from across the US, we filed a brief in SCOTUS seeking to preserve such care. /1

Decent use of space. We are pro radiator. Add more color. Maybe with new blinds. 8/10 @_millerjon

Erin Hawley just told the Supreme Court that @acog supports requiring ultrasounds before medication abortion as "best practice." That is false. ACOG's evidence-based guidance is that "ultrasound examination is not necessary before medication abortion." acog.org/clinical/clini…
