Right take. We conflate the bot/bad-actor problem and the extreme demand/supply imbalance for the largest acts. I understand why and at an emotional level I understand the frustration. While the former issue is very real and we have more work to do, so is the latter.

NEED SOME HELP: Transferes are not allowed for the NOAH KAHAN concert in Pittsburgh. I have a client that wants to resell their tickets. I see clients have listed their tickets to resell on various marketplaces. Does anyone happen to know a way that tickets can be transferred?

Then it comes down to the Ticketmaster queue—which has been confirmed to not be random and they get to decide who gets tickets. It’ll be interesting to compare these face-value prices to the Chase presale.

@cptave2 They have season ticket holder renewals. Likely those went live. Insane seeing full rows on resale. Still not sure how Ticketmaster has a hard limit for events but then allows resale listings 3x higher than the limit

Seeing a ton of complaints how for Today’s American Express presale for the US Open, there were immediately tons of tickets listed directly on Ticketmaster resale site. This is because US Open sells season ticket packages, so resellers buy those up and list them right away. Prices generally come down for the US Open, but is a very match up driven event, if an American or top names keep winning prices go up. So don’t panic buy after missing on the presale. #paystowait

.@StubHub fan guarantee is absolute trash. They promise you new tickets or your money back. First of all, if you don’t get the tickets for the event you paid for, they are legally required to give you your money back. Second, they usually offer you worse seats than the ones that weren’t delivered. It’s very rare they offer upgrades or make it right for the buyers. Third, they charge the sellers 200% or higher and then keep this money as pure profit. That money should be given to the buyers for cost of new tickets and possible other expenses that the buyer had to shell out. The buyer gets screwed over and stubhub still profits. I highly recommend using any other secondary platform if the price is similar.
