I have worked with and known Amy for the the past 5 years. This is a horrific loss for the CDC and the work of MMRCs. My heart goes out to her family and those at the CDC.

9 yrs ago my younger brother was born w a rare genetic disorder. Drs advised my parents to terminate bc they felt raising a disabled child would be too burdensome. Yday I graduated @YaleMed w an award winning thesis exploring Drs views on genetic dx & disability in his honor.

Oh my some strong opinions here. In a future world with in-person residency interviews, I firmly believe that if you travel thousands of miles at great expense to interview for an extremely stressful & underpaid position, the interviewer should be sending you a thank you note.
