@julianlehr @karrisaarinen Interesting data interpretation from your side: more issues = better/more true? Isn’t there more to it like customer value impact or something? Would be curious to better understand how you make those derivations on improvements in the workflow. Knowing that jira causing headach

People underestimate the impact of "getting the details right". Design details are small, but they compound. If Jira is death by a thousand papercuts, then Linear is resurrection by a thousand quality of life improvements. We actually measured the difference and it turns out that companies that switch from Jira to Linear see a 100% increase (!) in reported issues. This means if you are using Jira as your source of truth, you are actually looking at a source of half-truths. It's missing at least 50% of the reality it's supposed to represent.
Linear@linear

Why and how product teams switch to Linear: 4.5x Increase in active users 2x Increase in reported issues 2x Faster issue closing times linear.app/switch

@jsngr Maybe this is just the best way to build things… doing the same with current app development…

@MartinNebelong Art never has been about chaining tools to achieve something with little to no input, at least for me.

From painting to nearly real in just minutes. 🎨➡️👤 Krita Diffusion + FacePoke + Live Portrait + Runway Gen 3. This combination is taking us closer to reality faster than ever before. Is this the future of art, or is something lost in the speed? #AIArt #DigitalHumans #CreativeTech

@pie6k They can try as long as they want. As long as design is not in the relevant position of making real product decision, some mediocre low hanging fruits will be deployed.

Surface Pro website expresses the core of what pushes me away from Microsoft products. As S. Jobs said "They have no taste" Not a single person in their leadership blocked deploying this website saying "no way we'll have so ugly and unfinished landing for our flagship product"

@boomerrbryan Is this course/coaching stuff still a thing? Curious which scam pattern will take over in the next years. Multilevel marketing/cryptos/nft/coaching/… let’s see the evolution

This is Iman Gadzhi. A 23-year-old millionaire who made $40M from ONE YouTube video. The crazy part? It had ZERO ads. His secret: A 5-step strategy so effective, it's almost unfair. Here's the step-by-step breakdown (and how you can copy it):

Is this @Microsoft's attempt at designing and implementing an "Apple-like" product page? Wow… Someone should introduce them to @framer 😅

@ozanoz @framer Isn’t that the same for all page builder tools? Learned Kirby cms for small projects, no need in paying 999$ months and have full control

@LinusEkenstam @balajis Posting videos to prove that a country is "leading" something is a very biased and a populistic way to prove things. Regarding wars: China is not starting wars, but rather claiming countries as their province. Not sure about glorification of an autocracy.

The western mind can’t comprehend this. China is leading. Look. It’s simple. West was to busy with wars for the past 30 years, and China was busy building. If you do one thing in 2024, visit China. 🎥 @balajis More videos below ⬇️

@ilyamiskov The hardware itself is a big jump, but when you think of the software ecosystem beneath, it’s even more fascinating how much innovation happened since then. But the question is rather: did it improve the society or us as human beings?

Hard truth for designers: If you’re not getting responses from applying to a bunch of open roles, it’s because your work is bad 🚩🚩🚩 Hiring managers/recruiters make split second decisions, so if your work isn’t serviceable at first glance they’ve already moved on.

@svorklab Sad reality, but every single feature developed by any profit oriented company will always be monetized in some way. Just a matter of time.

Figma is launching a plug-in / file store 🛒 Tldr: - plugins, kits and files can only be purchased through Figma - No more third party links allowed in community files - 15% fee cut for all creators
Robert Janezic@RobertJanezic

Hey @figma What the hell. How is this any different than what Twitter tried to do a weeks ago? "Links to third-party payment sites won't be allowed in Community resources. All purchases will need to take place on the Figma platform"

I think designers underestimate just how good, usable, inclusive, & sometimes even refreshingly delightful "boring" design is. - Visible labels & instructions. - Link underlines! - Good text contrast. - Lists! - Links! (to separate pages vs. modal dialogs) Usable > aesthetic.

@svorklab We use a self developed service discovery framework, that contains some elements of the sprint. As there is always a need for new revenue streams. But its way more complex and flexible as the challenges for digital products became way bigger than 10 ears ago...

Are people still doing Design Sprints or is this „hype“ over? Remember 2 years ago when everyone wanted to sell me a Design Sprint course. But I already read the book. 😆
