I already used nomic-embed as the memory_search / memory_get local model, and I also had modified the compaction prompt and post-compaction instructions to include verbatim writes of the last 5 exchanges as well as a mandatory re-reading of the last 400 lines of the JSONL transcript before continuing.

OpenClaw 4.10 with the new active-memory plugin enabled is SO MUCH SMARTER. It's really a ridiculous step-change. @steipete, takhoffman/@cherry_mx_reds did a fantastic job. So happy with this.

If Mythos is as powerful as Anthropic claims, it could not have been given to private sector partners before being given to the government, for obvious reasons. So either it is not that powerful, or the government has had it for some time. There is no third option. Think.

Hermes is good. There, I said it. It really pulled off something amazing for me, with the same model - GPT 5.4 - that I use in OpenClaw. They are different tools with different strengths, but they are both good. Hermes just relentlessly pursues a project build. It isn’t fast — but it’s *good*. It isn’t truly multi-agent, but not everything has to be.
Using both is wise.
