Thiel is a world historic villain. Hard to overstate his negative impact on humanity.

The 1995 Cleveland Indians lineup was loaded

She did more damage to House Stark than the Lannisters ever could have dreamed of..

the “people are homeless because they refuse housing” line is so infuriating bc ut comes from a real place, but what people are actually refusing is parternalistic control. People do want housing, they just don’t want curfews, bureaucratic bullshit, sobriety requirements, etc.

This has nothing to do with the dumb racial discussion, but as an aside you really shouldn’t do a multi step sack dance or a showy first down signal when you rush for 7 yards midway through the 4th quarter down 24 points

If you asked me to shoot this guy in the head at 10 AM, I’d meet you for breakfast at 10:15 in a good mood. There’s nothing here. I’d be more broken up about shooting a sick dog. And I fucking hate dogs.

I don't think anyone but far left agitators are saying that Pretti was a saint. We're simply saying he shouldn't be dead. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

Alex Pretti died defending an innocent woman from the state. He is a hero worthy of great honor. He didn't pull out his firearm, but would have been completely justified in doing so.

Framber Valdez really fumbled the bag

I agree it's hard to determine exactly how bad ICE is behaving from a few (dozen, hundred, thousand) isolated (semi-isolated, inundated) awful incidents, but those incidents are so damn awful, they suggest systemic problems. Renee Good had an agent walk around her car for no sensible reason, twice getting in front of it. Two agents came charging up, screaming at her to get out of her car, and immediately grabbing at her door handle, when the sensible approach of any experienced law enforcement officer would have been to calmly approach and engage her in conversation, and only then ask her to step out of the vehicle. When she (foolishly) starts to drive away, Ross immediately drawing a weapon and shooting three times at a middle-aged suburban mom with a dog in the back is batshit insane. (Yes, yes, tell me she could have been a killer. You've seen people go nuts on Cops! Please. If your people skills told you Good was a killer, you need to stay home forever.) Sure, Renee Good's death is an isolated incident, but all three officers involved behaved terribly. Add that to all the other isolated incidents, and the decision to mask these officers as if they were Central-American paramilitaries, and a pattern of systemic disaster emerges.

TIM WALZ: "If you see these ICE agents in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record." "Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans, not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution."

From the crowd that brought you fake outrage over a “weaponized” moving vehicle, here’s ICE pushing a civilian car into traffic at a red light and then driving away

(I do want to say though that aspirationally I want to agree with this. I would love to live in the world where The Wire is the target everyone in television is trying to hit rather than just a very good thing they’ve all seen)

Nick Shirley, the right's new favorite journalist, is confused by the most basic things about how childcare and health care work. His work immediately fell apart. As I wrote for @unherd, he embodies the right's human capital problem. unherd.com/2026/01/nick-s…
