G2 beating LCK 2nd seed BFX into LCK 1st seed Gen.G 6-0 over two Best of 5's is FOR SURE the biggest popoff in Western League of Legends history. In context of Eastern dominated esports, it might also be the highest 24 hour peak across all Western esports history as a whole!

Skewmond has really impressed me at FST. It’s not just the mechanics, the decision-making; it’s the confidence on stage against the team everyone already crowned-- against Worlds MVP Canyon. When I see players in this form, they usually carry it into lifting the trophy.

@CallMeTasteless @SUBWAY I’ve tried to reach out to them about the mustard thing but no response. It’s basically a war crime and maybe the @UN should investigate. Doubling down with only two sauce/seasoning is pretty insane. Could this be damaging to their international brand?

@SUBWAY in South Korea, Subway Sandwich is limiting sauces / seasonings to two. This means if I put salt and pepper on my Spicy Italian, I can no longer also put vinegar and olive oil on my sandwich. This is happening at every Subway Sandwich I’ve been to in Seoul and it’s also the case on the Coupang App (used for delivery in Korea). You’ve also removed Yellow Mustard as a sauce out here ??? Please fix this. Other American sandwich franchises are opening up here in Korea and you guys are going to get destroyed over this.

I don’t know how to put into words what it’s like to lose something so important— But tonight I lost a part of me, a part of my family. I got a call after Game 1 of tonight’s series that my cat Hong passed away. I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. I’m so shattered. Never take anything for granted. Especially not your loved ones. I will miss you forever, Hong. You made every day better just by being in it. I hope you know how much I love you.

This is the first time T1 has been reverse swept since they were reversed by KT in 2016. It’s the first reverse sweep ever by Dplus KIA. No one believed in them. No one thought they could do it. They had their backs against the wall and didn’t give up. True competitors!

On top of this loss, BFX used their second toilet pause of the tournament. This, according to the rulebook, means they will either pay a 3mil won fine or be given a penalty. Would be very unfortunate for them if they have a penalty in the lower bracket finals in Hong Kong.

@arnoldwh I hope long term that we are! Short term there could be hiccups and quality drops but after a few seasons, hopefully LCK can find partners that they trust who understand what we’re trying to do so that the production ends up having its own flair— but still LCK quality on the go

@proxywolf But that will come at the cost of at least a perceived downgrade in production value that might hit total viewership…are we ok making that trade off?

My view on the LCK Cup final: I think it’s great that we’re getting more opportunities to play games internationally, especially as the fanbase continues to grow globally. That said, we need better ways to make sure fans in Korea can actually attend matches. Right now, as a Korean fan, it doesn’t feel great when: -ticket prices keep going up and are harder to get for the biggest matches -there’s no Spring final in Korea -there are no domestic prize pools These are core parts of the Korean fan experience that feel like they’re being taken away without a clear replacement. I think it’s natural, and fair, for fans to be upset. If this is the direction we’re going, we need a new model that creates more events with more seating in Korea, even if that means lowering production requirements to make it possible. That way when the league is growing internationally it’s in addition to a better fan experience locally, not in replacement of it.

Since LCK started in 2012, this will be the first ever grand finals hosted overseas. It was only a matter of time before we started to travel! I think there's even potential to see roadshows expanded domestically for playoffs. I'd love to cast LCK in Vietnam or the Philippines!
