Thank you for making the “small talk” so memorable! @tomjohndesign Also it was such a joyous moment to run into @jayneil and you at the same time since Jayneil’s podcast was how I learnt about Tom! 🩵

2 years ago at @figma config I was very much on the outside. Mostly kept to myself. Didn't go to events in the evenings. I'd been working as the sole designer at @Basedash for 3 years. At home. No SF network. I left and decided to be intentional. Started posting. Made internet friends. Sent DMs. Started making @ditherface , which grew into more connections. Last year at config I knew people. Found more who've now become friends. Went to a lot of events. Talked to many random strangers. Those friends and connections led directly to being able to work at @vercel. I'm unbelievably grateful for those who have opened those doors for me, invited me over for a chat. Responded to DM. Met up for coffee. This year at config I hope I can give that to more people. I wouldn't be here if others hadn't done that. Come say hi if you see me. I'll be wearing a ▲ Design hat.

@rogie: “we are designers, we like moving things.” Me, reaching through the screen trying to drag a frame with my hands: can we get hand gestures on the Figma canvas already? 🤌

I need a house in Dallas. This airbnb comes with a basketball court. In SF this is almost impossible to find.

loop engineering playing into my name really well lol. eat your lopo loops fam. seriously though loop engineering is finding ways to invoke your agents with cron, event-based triggers, and tail calls. glhf

A wise human once wrote that the more specific we are about what we’re looking for, the more we will attract the right things to us Here’s my ask to the universe I am looking for a new role I’m a product designer who left my startup job in March 2026 to explore side project ideas and take some time off to tinker I have 3 years product design experience, 5 years brand design experience I don’t necessarily believe product and brand should be isolated disciplines and love working on, and value both. Looking for a company where designers ship code, work on product design, tinker with brand tooling, and can help across teams where they are most needed I’m driven by ownership, usefulness, good quality work, and a fun hard-working collaborative team Excited to work most days in-person, in-office Am speedy but also detail-oriented. While I can be scrappy and can grind when necessary, I love companies that are thoughtful and intentional about design and building products I am open to contracting to find the right fit A few companies I fiercely look up to include: @Stripe, @Notion, @Linear, @Vercel, @Reve, @Runwayml, @Oura, @Midjourney, @Ramp, @Figma

@ridd_design This is such a brilliant idea!! Why did I not think of that?! I have been playing the video in slo-mo and then I describe to Claude what I see.. 🥲🤦🏼‍♀️

a part of building with AI that still blows my mind is that you can: 1) feed Claude a video 2) tell it to break it into frames with ffmpeg 3) reverse engineer an animation/interaction

@Mahad_Builds Great question! We did two things to make it fast: first, wrote a skill to draft one-pagers with the relevant information and link out references. Second (wip) the agent sends a slack msg to stakeholders in the specific channels for feedback along with the design artefacts.

@rust_og97 The review step is always where things slow down. Curious how your team handles it when the PRD draft needs sign-off from multiple people — does it go back into Slack or somewhere else?

Applying my learning’s on compound engineering from @every and finally I can feel my workflow is improving. It took sometime to setup a shared knowledge base between me and the PM. But I really excited about the outcome!
