On top of that, the BFI IMAX announced the anticipated pre-sales kick off for #ChristopherNolan’s epic #TheOdyssey! The new round of tickets & screenings will go on sale on JUN 15. That comes after the opening weekend’s very first midnight screening & all prime-time screenings sold out a whole year in advance, when last year’s IMAX pre-sales sold out in a matter of hours, despite tickets at the BFI being non-refundable and costing from £23.50 to £28.00 ($31.40-$37.50 back in 2025)

I watched “Avatar: Fire and Ash” in 3D IMAX. People often say, “God is in the details,” but truly seeing that philosophy carried through in the act of creation is not an easy thing to do. This film shows absolutely no compromise, right down to the finest details, in the construction of the Avatar “universe.” It was magnificent. For the past 40 years, I’ve been weaving entertainment and art alongside the evolution of cutting-edge digital technology. I’m a creator on the “digital side.” DEATH STRANDING was also shot and produced using technologies developed for Avatar. Lately, films shot entirely in analog, without CG or VFX, have been increasingly praised. Even movies shot on film are celebrated, while digital works are sometimes dismissed with comments like, “Anyone can make it easily if it’s digital.” But that is a serious misunderstanding. CG works are also created by people. Countless actors, artists, and programmers pour their thoughts and passion into them, breathing life into the work. Today, this film gave me renewed “pride” and “courage” as we look toward the future. It made me feel positive again about continuing to pursue “new things” using digital technology. Thank you, James Cameron. And I was also happy to see Kevin Dorman on the screen. He did so many performances for us on the set of DEATH STRANDING too. 🙏🙇🏻🫶😍

The graphics, gameplay, mechanics and all round technical execution of this game is yet to be rivalled to this day. Damn shame the characters and story are a solid 7, it would have been the clear front-runner for the greatest game of the generation.
