@upbeat_dev ASA metrics can feel like such a black box sometimes lol. Definitely curious to see what others are averaging right now

@upbeat_dev A 10.9% net ROI after taxes is solid, but the 45-day cash flow gap is tough for scaling. If you can handle floating the ad spend for a month and a half, keep it running.

First two days of June so far. After commissions and government taxes, my ROI is 10.9%. I get my money 45 days later on average, and its cost is ~$3. So if it goes like this, it will return $750 net in one month, for $7,275 ad spend. Would you keep running these ads?

My dad has been doing TikTok videos consistently for a few months now. He makes super long videos about politics, health and spirituality. He just hit his first 100k+ video yesterday and gained 600 followers overnight bringing it to almost 2k. The power of showing up everyday. Time to build him an app.

@Emmett_Deen C2P should be higher for profitability. I think trials are reducing it a lot. What's good is that you have room to increase prices.

Daily budget is $15. Conversion to paying for US iOS users is 4.3%. The app itself to be honest was not very useful in the early days and just recently improved in the last 30 days so hoping this improves. My pricing is not very high either. I am AB testing to see if I can push it higher. Currently $24.99yr/$3.99wk 3 day trial

@placebotobe Yes, those are possible reasons. But again, we need more data before making a decision.

@upbeat_dev Yes, I'll collect more this week and share back. Search match is off, and keyword match is exact. Low TTR... what is this usually a symptom of? Poor screenshots/logo/title? Mismatch to keyword search?

@placebotobe You need more data, but watch ttr closely, if it goes like this, you must fix it first. You turned off search match, right? What is your keywords' match type?

@upbeat_dev This is just today's metrics for me. I'm hoping this Avg CPT difference holds up and I can go all-in on the lower cost keyword

Your budget does not look small 🙂 4th and 5th ones lack data. But the first 3 are promising. If the 4th and 5th had enough data, I would say those keywords are in a different context. After at least 100 taps for each, if the first three are still like that, you should improve your product page. But for a recently started campaign, the numbers are promising. Let's wait for more data. I wonder what your conversion to paying ratio is, by the way. Note: Please don't use total metrics.

May 2026 app business breakdown is live 👇 Did revenue grow, did the new ad channels work, and most importantly: did I actually make more money?

@upbeat_dev @musatasci__ My next app is just like that, my pricing model is basically based on what works for my competitors I'll update how that works once it gets approved and ads running

@musatasci__ @YairDev I would give them full experience on onboarding only. after onboarding, first video free but limited, no voice, 720p only, only 9:16 etc etc

@YairDev @musatasci__ No, never hard paywall, never trial. I show a soft paywall after onboarding. But if user does not subscribe, they cannot get some features. it is freemium

After onboarding user sees a paywall, but there is no button to close it. Normally, there must be free trial on one of the options if there is no close button. But the tweet says hard paywall without trial. How do they do it? They put a close button there, but after it is reviewed, they remove close button with remote config. Your use case is valid, I think.

@upbeat_dev @chizorommaduba TY! I'm getting confused on soft/hard paywall. I have an identifier that let's the user do 2 identifications, then always paywall when trying again. Is that a HARD paywall? Also I have weekly with 3d trial, but yearly without any trial. No problem with submissions so far.

Bro to bro tip: When signing up on websites, use the site name as your last name (e.g., John Amazon). If that email leaks, you’ll know exactly who sold you out.

A few times, I got rejected because I didn't add a message telling users they could use the app without paying, just with limitations. I think when you set the app price to $0, Apple expects users to be able to use the app, even if it's a limited version. A remote config close button is basically a hack around that.

When an app is new or a keyword is new, there is nothing telling Apple that your app is relevant to that search term. In that case, you either can't enter the auction, or you can enter it but need a higher max CPT. Over time, as your TTR and CR improve on that keyword, you will rank organically and your average CPT will drop. Of course, if it's a competitive niche, it may still require a high CPT. By the way, your conversion to paying ratio is good. If your subscription prices are not too low, you should be able to find a sweet spot.

@upbeat_dev @ashen_one interesting it's a new app so definitely won't have ranking on the keywords my conversion is around 6% install to subscribe LTV is fairly low, so not sure it'd be profitable to go higher than 1.5, that's already very high
