While @EmmanuelMacron ACTS and brings French citizens home from Iran even in the midst of chaos, Sweden still answers with silence or statements & caution where urgency should speak loudest. Cecile Kohler, Jacques Paris, & many others have thankfully made it home, their names no longer tied to fear, but to relief. But Ahmadreza Djalali remains under a death sentence, abandoned, neglected, left behind. @SwedishPM @MariaStenergard, when will concern become action? Maybe it’s time to take a leaf from Macron’s book. Maybe even pick up the phone & ask for pointers. Because right now, the contrast is painfully clear: one government is bringing its people home, while another is watching its citizen slip away forever. 1000 hours of not being able to contact your family. 1000 hours without news from the outside world. 1000 hours without access to essential information. 90 million people in Iran have now lived under digital darkness for 1000 hours. Iranian authorities have cut off Iranians from the outside world since 28 February, preventing people from accessing essential information and contacting loved ones. Internet shutdowns are a human rights issue. Authorities must immediately restore internet access.

Trump must retract deeply irresponsible threats that the USA would postpone strikes on #Iran’s power plants & energy infrastructure by 5 days pending the outcome of discussions on the “resolution of hostilities”.
