@joelpollak @varadmehta I’ve said relentlessly for years the efforts to tie the hand of Israel with slanders of war crimes were just building the precedents they’d eventually use against America.

@neontaster They probably asked the AI to show nuclear explosions in Palestine because the revolutionary guard won’t let them recognize Israel exists and call it what it is.

The United Kingdom will refuse to allow the United States to use its airbases, particularly RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia which long-range strategic bombers with the U.S. Air Force have previously utilized on a case-by-case basis to carry out strikes on Iran, for missions that target Iranian bridges, power plants, or other civilian infrastructure, citing concerns that such strikes could harm civilians and constitute war crimes, senior officials tell The i Paper.

@thefactualprep @redsteeze We literally have a new political term — beer summit — due to the fact that the president couldn’t keep his un informed opinions to himself on matters that didn’t concern him one bit.

@jimsciutto The western wall tunnels are underground. If true, they are letting small groups visit what is effectively a bomb shelter.

The U.S. could air lift 5k soldiers to Tehran and establish a Marine assault force and over 2 days wipe out half the regime forces in the city We just (understandably) think losing 10s of our men in this process isn’t worth it

The US’s abilities to execute in Iran comes down only to its goals and will to do it. There are ultimately manpower loss considerations that hold back the most extreme goals because the U.S. simply values our men that much.
Tim McMillan@LtTimMcMillan

French Gen. Michel Yakovleff saying that establishing an austere airbase inside Iran was crazy and that U.S. officials needed to "stop snorting cocaine" is now a TERRIBLE look for the French military. The U.S. did exactly that, just outside of Isfahan, FFS.

@KurtSchlichter U.S. forces could capture Tehran tomorrow and the response would be, “yes but is that REALLY winning?”

@Phylaxs @varadmehta The Chinese media said this on Day One. They suddenly realized the only thing restraining the U.S. is their decision to act. They’ve recalculated accordingly.

Can't wait to hear tomorrow about how the US being able to conduct a massive search and rescue op inside Iran, find the missing airman while killing a bunch of Irani goons, and then escape more or less unscathed, is a defeat for America and makes the mullahs stronger than ever.

The U.S. Department of Defense has given President Trump a plan to seize nearly 1,000lbs of highly-enriched uranium from at least one nuclear site in Iran, that would involve flying in excavation equipment and building a runway for cargo planes to take the radioactive material out, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to the Washington Post.

Opinion: Insistence on particular footnoting formatting is among the most sanctimonious of pedantry. All footnotes really need to do is provide enough information for readers to locate the source. Everything is cosmetic gatekeeping.

@FaytuksNetwork Here is the problem for Iran. Even if they had the ability to target these industries and destroy them (they don’t), there is a lot more targets the Allies can hit, but so far haven’t, than Iran can ever escalate against.

@physicsgeek What are you taking about? Hawkeye was awful. I liked WV, Loki season 2, and half of Born Again once they obviously did the course correct mid first season. Wonder Man was fantastic.

I think Marvel has had some solid TV shows since Endgame (Wandavision, Loki, Hawkeye, Daredevil Born Again). I think the movies during this period have been...uneven.

@MorosKostas I was able to get my fingerprints taken at a police station out of state when I applied to the California bar as a non resident.

A big part of our nonresident carry preliminary injunction in CRPA v. LASD was that nonresidents could complete the process entirely from home. They could do their interview remotely, take the training course online, qualify with a shooting instructor near them, and mail in their fingerprints. AB 1078 appeared to honor that. But now CADOJ is taking a different interpretation on one aspect of it - the fingerprints. According to a bulletin they posted, nonresidents will need to come to California to do a livescan rather than mailing in permits. This is not what the law actually states in my reading. Penal Code 26185 just says "(a)(1) Upon issuance of the notice described in paragraph (1) of subdivision (d) of Section 26202, the licensing authority shall submit to the Department of Justice fingerprint images and related information required by the Department of Justice for each applicant applying for a new license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person, pursuant to subdivision (u) of Section 11105." It does not say it must be through livescan. Yes, the California Code of Regulations requires a livescan for any fingerprinting, but that was not passed by the legislature. Requiring nonresidents make an extra trip to California for fingerprinting is abusive nonsense, and I hope DOJ backs down from this position.
