What really excites me is his zone exit success at 98%. While leading Tampa in TOI. Non leafs fans try to make us sound like we expect him to win the Norris or something. No. We just plugged a huge hole on our back end. Why can't we be excited about a puck moving dman who excels at getting out of our own zone while making sure we have possession at the same time? It was literally the leafs biggest weakness last year. Why wouldn't we be excited about that. Lol our D combined for 28 goals last season. Andersson is going to get paid the same amount yet he struggles with defensive zone exits. But fans like you just want that "sexy" name. If the name isn't sexy then the leafs messed up right?

Based on most accounts, he was a key person, but now we have Vince McMahon, Jim Cornette (who actually came up with the finish), Levesque, Shawn and Russo all taking credit. He does leave out the part of the conversation where Bret would lose to Shawn in any arena if Shawn lost in Montreal and Bret was staying for another month to do it including TV tapings, MSG and one more PPV show. That's the part of the story the anti-Hart side aways leaves out.

Once you say the average person knows Bo Nickal you're lost the plot. You are literally arguing the White House wasn't the draw and the key to marketing. Look at all the Time, Vanity Fair, News coverage of the show, what were the main stories, it sure wasn't the main event (a fantastic fight by the way), it was everything but the fights. If you're arguing this show wasn't a marketing gimmick you need to stop when you're way behind.

The freedom 250 was not a gimmick, idk what inthe world you are talking about lol. 2 title fights, a whos who of stars (less 2 jones, mcgreggor), a whole card of exciting finishes, ranked fights and upcoming stars, 2 major upsets, and not to mention the showcase of military.
Saying it was a gimmick is incredibly subjective and dismissive at a minimum. Remove the politics.
6x is based on who watched v how many subscribers there are, not anything else. (Quick math ratio for both platforms).

2x in the U.S, not 6x. 4x worldwide, but both shows were primarily U.S. audiences. Agree on retention rates for gimmicks being low, BUT UFC 250 was the ultimate gimmick show. The show was not promoted by the fights, it was promoted based on the location. The show you said was a gimmick show was actually promoted based largely on one fight. Neither model is sustainable at that level and both were curiosity draws, not sports related draws.

That is not accurate.
The reports describe a proposed/private reconstruction investment fund, largely tied to Gulf money and future conditions not a $300 billion check from U.S. taxpayers to Tehran.
If you’re going to grill people on foreign policy, at least describe the deal correctly.

Before fans overreact, an 8 mil contract in 3 years will be the equivalent of 5 mil in 2020. I feel like we finally have a Dman who can rip a 1 timer since phaneuf.
