In terms of overlappe, the redistributed triangle centre from calculating the minmax AABB with uniform size doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought. I wonder how it compares to just tyte minmax AABBs in terms of overlapping.

Testin' different kinds of triangles. This shows the limitation of the minmax AABB-approach as it leaves a lot of empty space regarding diagonal sliver triangles, but it seems to work ok for more aligned cases. =w=)//
