Learn to control the barrel. There’s a reason great hitters train like this. It’s not because they want to hit back side grounders in a game. It’s because staying inside and through the ball are old terms that still ring true today’s game.

@CoachMarcusHill @108_Performance The monitor isn’t the issue. It’s just a tool. The issue is how the tool is used and the environment it’s used in. Vast majority use the tool in a negative way in reflection to the game. But it can be a very useful tool when used properly.

@CurtWilsonIA @108_Performance I will say without a doubt the guys in our program/facility that hit primarily off the combination of high machine velo with hittrax are severely limiting their in game adjustability.

@SangilloJohn @CoachPerk The body self organizes based on intent and end goal. The goal of contact drives how the body organizes. If I punch someone 8 ft tall vs 2 feet tall, my body will organize much different, the intent of my hand path will dictate that. Therefore my hand path would dictate posture

@CoachPerk The swing path can’t truly adjust to the pitch unless the body first self-organizes correctly. Proper alignment, weight distribution, and sequencing set the stage, the path is just the outcome of that organization.

@KSchnall9 @_SEE777_ That's incorrect. If you don't have the ball, you cannot block any base, including the plate. If you have the ball, be where you need to.

📢 Catchers! POSITIONING (R@3B): -Take the plate away! Do not need to give him a lane! -You should not be in front of the plate and then reaching back to tag. TAG MECHANICS: -As the throw comes in, drop step with your glove-side knee- like a reverse lunge. -☝️hand swipe tag

⚾️ BASES LOADED. 2 OUTS. STRIKE THREE… BUT IS THE INNING OVER? 🤯 Hitter swings and misses — Catcher blocks the ball like a pro… But instead of throwing to first, he just tags the plate and walks off the field. 😳 😬 One small problem… The runners advanced and one of them scored. ❓ Is this out #3… or a blown play? 📣 YOU MAKE THE CALL 👇 Was the catcher right to just tag the plate? Should he have thrown to first? Is the run legit? Let’s hear your ruling — and tag your baseball crew to weigh in ⚖️ #YouMakeTheCall #BaseballIQ #YouthBaseball #TopVelocity #CatcherLife #BaseballMistakes #BangBangPlay #BaseballTalk #BaseballRules #BaseballDebate #GameChanger #CatcherTraining #StrikeThree #HighIQPlay

@TwoFiveBaseball Its such a weird thing where coaches think because they get called "coach" then every player should listen to them. Need to earn the right. Especially young players, you're one of potentially 10-20 coaches they are going to be around in a year.

Had a coach tell me how coachable one of our guys is. Another prior coach treated the same player as uncoachable. Players being coachable starts with them knowing you care about them, and not just your program, your track record, your success. Players thrive off of coaches that care.

How often do you see a bad front leg when the back leg is really good?

Watch rear knee work. Keeps the back hip in internal rotation into launch. Allows pelvis to fly through with the hands. Fun game to watch. Fireworks all over.

@GowagsKyle @TheAttack5 Announcers generally just parrot stuff they’ve heard in the past to fill dead air. Agreed with you there also, it’s the worst lol

@CurtWilsonIA @TheAttack5 I just hate the announcer that says “See, he got his foot down early and…..” No! I don’t see. Did he get it down NOW or NOW!? 😂😂😂

@GowagsKyle @TheAttack5 I’ve had hitters that use that cue themselves and don’t come down early and still stay into the backside at launch. I’m not going to argue with them or tell them to change that thought because it’s usually a bad thought for most.

@GowagsKyle @TheAttack5 No doubt. Usually when we are on time with our start and maintain good posture and a control the foot getting down on time takes care of it’s self. I’m just saying that every once in a while it can be helpful. More of a last ditch effort type cue.

@TheAttack5 @GowagsKyle Agree with both of you. The cue can be dangerous. But some players need to feel gettin the foot down early to not get stuck back, to maintain good direction and like you said not be late. All cues can be awful. I almost never dismiss any cue in total anymore.
