I wrote to Hon’ble PM @narendramodi highlighting the devastation caused by the release of 5 lakh cusecs of water from DVC-controlled dams – a scale hitherto unwitnessed. This MAN-MADE flood, the worst we have witnessed in the lower Damodar since 2009, has severely impacted over 5 million people in Bengal. Despite repeated warnings, the Centre has ignored the technical, mechanical and managerial failures plaguing DVC. If this gross negligence continues, Bengal will be forced to sever ties with DVC!

আমি অভয়ার বিচার চাই। আমি দোষীদের চরম শাস্তি চাই। আমি ডাক্তারবাবুদের “সাফাই” অভিযান কে সমর্থন করি। কিন্তু “সাফাই” হোক সর্বস্তরে.. তাই জনগণের চাহিদা ডাক্তারবাবুদের সামনে রাখলাম👇 এই শপথগুলি ডাক্তারবাবুরাও নেবেন তো? ১) সরকারী চাকরি করে বেসরকারী নার্সিংহোমে প্রাকটিশ করব না! ২) প্রয়োজন অতিরিক্ত ওষুধ লিখব না বা খাওয়াবো না! ৩) কোনো ওষুধ কোম্পানীর থেকে কোনো রকম কমিশন, উপহার নেবো না! ৪) পেশেন্ট পার্টি কে অযৌক্তিক কোনো পরীক্ষা করাবো না! ৫) কোনো প্যাথলজী থেকে কমিশন খাব না! ৬) প্রকৃত দরকার না পড়লে অপারেশন করবো না ! ৭) মেডিকেল সরজ্ঞাম কোম্পানীর থেকে দালালী নেব না! ৮) বিভিন্ন কোম্পানীর টাকায় বিদেশ বেড়াতে যাব না! ৯) অতিরিক্ত ফিস নেব না! ১০) পেশেন্ট পার্টির থেকে নেওয়া টাকার বিনিময়ে অফিসিয়াল বিল যেখানে ক্রমিক নম্বর ও ডেট দেওয়া থাকবে, প্রদান করবো! কি ডাক্তারবাবু “সাফাই” হবে??
