@91PoorFarmer2 I am old enough to know that for many years beef cattle sucked. What goes around will come around and in time it will return.
Dairy will continue to consolidate and won't recover until people return to milking there own cows and that probably won't happen in our lifetime.
English

@SawyerWhisler That Sure worked in the dairy industry were the Co-ops have labels. The fat cats on the top get fat and the peasants scrape the bottom.
English

Most farmers are stuck in a cycle of overproducing corn and soybeans because every other commodity price sucks too. The only way out might be banding together to form a co-op that actually builds a brand instead of just selling raw material.
If you paired a group of hungry farmers with a seasoned CPG operator who knows how to get into Costco and Walmart, could that be the ticket to creating our own market? Or is the co-op model too broken to fix?
English

@TheeGrainLady I got suckered in a few years back into a contract from a person that was eventually getting fired as he was trying to save his ass. He suckered me and a bunch of other farmers into those sob contracts. Sure learned a lesson and it sure wasn't fun.
English

@justinfastert Nope. Lock the doors, it's going to $6.
Check back when it's at $6 cause I knows it's going to $7.

@agwithemma Tractors don't need this stuff. If we can't fix it with twine string and bailing wire, we don't need it. In 20 years it will be in the junkyard because it won't start and nobody has the software or parts to fix it.
English

Pushing everyone’s buttons with this new tractor release, including the tractor 😉

@WeedVet @PeterBernegger @jewelsHND Is Jennie-O in on it?
I know of a bunch of Somalians that work at one of the other plants and they try to pass off the EBT cards. Is it possible that Jennie-O pays them a cut rate so they qualify for food stamps?
Just a thought.
English

@PeterBernegger @jewelsHND Barron wi is where the Jennie-O plant is located… that town has been taken…

🚨Breaking: Democrats directly tied to Somali truck drivers! We followed the tail of a Somali trucking company and look where it led to -
We started in Barron Wisconsin and ended up at 1500 1st Ave NE, Rochester Minnesota 55906. @jewelsHND found this stunning news. 1500 1st Ave NE home to:
-multiple transport companies!
-more trucking companies!
-the Democratic Party Rochester Headquarters!
-to the Masjid Salaam mosque!
And there was not one single person around on a business weekday. Vehicles were in disrepair and not in service.
Where is our State Patrol? Our Sheriffs? The FBI? I have confirmed other states have begun seizing the semi-trucks when they find non-English speaking drivers or fake paperwork/licenses/permits. This is the only way to stop it.
See my 3 other tweets on this illegal alien trucking disaster, just scroll down in my tweets, for who is really behind this all.

@gambe72647 @Dusty3080467325 I was told that when you put up a Blue one, that you had a place to put the For sale sign.
English

@Dusty3080467325 Didn't a blue Harvestore silo usually indicate a farm that went broke?
English

@91PoorFarmer2 @Dusty3080467325 NWPA. You wouldn't be bragging about you Maddison silo if this happened to you. They are just lucky to be alive.

English

@Dusty3080467325 Neat ad. Have three Madison's
I'd love to know the number of the 10/12x30-35 silos they built in the the 50's and 60's seems every farm around here had one

@McNeilBJ @GrainStats @ArlanFF101 @GoddessofGrain If they can't give us accurate information then cancel the report. NASS is doing more damage than they are doing good.
English

@ArlanFF101 @GoddessofGrain @GrainStats
If you could fix one thing with USDA NASS and WASDE reporting what would it be?
I will be on a USDA roundtable next week discussing how to bring accuracy and accountability to these reports.
I am very curious what the majority of producers think.
I sometimes wonder what the benefits are to us farmers. IMO We have to be one of the only industry that lets supply be known to set a market price for demand. Typically demand drives price and supply influences it. But yet our markets are continually driven by supply reports and influenced by demand.
The flip side to this information is it allows you, the producer, to hedge and protect your self from future prices.
I welcome all to this discussion.

@ckleene @AgrisAcademy Here is the Minnesota report for 2024 for dairy.
Good luck. I know of 2 dairies in the area that are getting rid of the cows because milk prices are in the dumpster.
finbin.umn.edu/RunReport/Prev…
English

@AgrisAcademy I can’t answer variable cost that but had a very large dairy tell me that his calves were 50% of his revenue for the year.
English

The U.S. dairy industry
You can actually milk a cow at a loss just to get her $1700 bottle calf. A retained client is providing silage to a new 6000 cow dairy. The calves are worth $10.2 million a year basis that math. Even a low producing cow stays in the herd.
Any dairy experts out here that can put a ballpark number on the variable cost of milking a cow in a year?
My dystopian future sees dry lot beef cows punching out twins on a schedule. It sure isn't very bullish milk prices.
English

@JimSmith87 This isn't going to end well. If the US takes land out of production the rest of the world won't. That also goes for the dairy industry also. We are all headed down a dark hole and unless mother nature steps in we are all toast.
English

@halfoffads @AlphaNews If the government looks the other way it won't solve anything. The head of the snake needs to be cut off.
How do we accomplish that?
English

@AlphaNews A fraud hotline that offers rewards to people who report probable fraud businesses is the answer. I saw a guy on a video who had witnessed a suspicious office space for 3 years in Minneapolis. I bet he would call the hotline!

EXCLUSIVE: ‘The mob mentality is stunning’—Dr. Oz and HHS Sec. O’Neill discuss fraud in Minnesota
Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Jim O'Neill, deputy secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), met with Liz Collin for an interview.
Dr. Oz and Deputy Sec. O’Neill talked about what they saw when they visited daycare and autism centers in the Twin Cities for themselves.
They told Collin that while checking out suspected fraud in St. Paul, within minutes they were chased out of buildings, flipped off, and followed by vehicles.
While explaining how they’ve never seen anything like this, Dr. Oz discussed “organized crime,” and Deputy Sec. O’Neill talked about how those involved in the massive fraud seem to be using the courts to stop them from asking questions and getting answers.
