And the share saying they were “extremely proud” was significantly lower. So overall, these figures remain far below where they stood at the turn of the century. Two structural shifts: 1) The Democratic coalition now includes a much larger share of recent immigrants and their families. Many have weaker (if any) allegiance to the country 2) Socialist factions within the party, hostile to America’s core principles and to Western civilization, are growing in influence This combination of low-attachment demographics (immigration) and anti-American leftist ideology will continue eroding the Democratic Party’s sense of national pride.

I love America, but I hate to burst your bubble: if you are on Twitter, and you are getting posts about how Europeans visiting for the World Cup are completely in awe of American food and grocery stores— I have to be honest with you and tell you you are being fed complete nonsense by the algorithm. @thomas_garrard I live in the Texas Panhandle and I can drive south for 12 hours and still be in Texas. I know it’s not a competition, but just sayin….our state is big!

We joke about winning the life lottery, because we were born in the USA, but it’s not far from the truth. These visitors here for the World Cup are getting to experience what we often take for granted. I live in Alabama. I can start in Mobile and drive north for 5 hours, and still be in Alabama. My state has beautiful sandy beaches, and also has the foothills of the Appalachians. In between, we have a super speedway that pushes the limits of American muscle. Talladega. NASA is here. The Army’s rotary wing flight school is here. We have a festival every year to celebrate peanuts. We celebrate the harvest of a crop with funnel cakes and music. 2 teams from my state are currently in the College World Series, and that isn’t even our most popular sport. Don’t even get me started on football Saturdays in the fall. It’s something else entirely. My state is just 1 of 50 states that are all equally wonderful. This country is awesome, and I do love it so. 🇺🇸

I spoke to President TRUMP this morning. He expects to sign something with IRAN in next couple of hours, w/ all usual caveats that come with dealing with Iran. Optimistic about getting the Strait open today, hopefully. Looking forward to the UFC fight tonight; has some weather concerns but jazzed nonetheless.
