Who the heck wants the Pope, the leader of 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide and the Vicar of Christ, to be America-first, let alone put any other country first except the Vatican? He's literally the Pope! The Pope! Not an American political figure. Only 4% of the world's Catholic population is American, and only 20% of Americans are Catholic. There's absolutely no reason for the Pope to take "America's side" (Israel's side in reality) when not even many American Catholics support this unjust war. Also, how is a pro-life, anti–gender ideology Pope considered liberal? Is it because he's against a few billionaires hoarding all the money in the world for themselves?

I assume Orban conceded because the opposition's victory is too staggeringly large to deny. It's important for us to remember that, were he in Orban's position, Trump would never concede, no matter how large the margin.

@Mylovanov Oversimplified. Some NATO members certainly did fight in Vietnam (for example.) The point is not NATO, it is that the Euros are rejecting any sort of common cause with the US. Which is their right but in that context the US has many interests outside of Europe and no allies.

McFaul: Trump doesn't get it. NATO is a defensive alliance. NATO didn't fight in Vietnam with us, with the French in Algeria, with the Portuguese in Angola and Mozambique, or with the UK in the Falklands. The only time they fought together was after Sep 11.
