@LeeKurtiss you can still build parking silly goose, there is just no required minimum. Plenty of other cities that have done this demonstrate that parking continues to be built - it's just right sized for it's context.

If you really want to fight climate change, this is how you do it.

If we want better fashion culture in the US, we have to lower the cost of housing and commercial real estate, support independent craftspeople, build denser neighborhoods, improve walkability, and get rid of overly restrictive zoning laws. Let kook culture thrive.

@StatisticUrban Rural county roads have the highest fatality rates of which the South has a lot. Also (many, not all) southern traffic engineers still adhere to the cult of Level of Service/cars moved.

It's really quite impressive that the south manages to have the highest traffic fatality rates despite essentially being exempt from dealing with one of the most significant risk factors when driving - snow.

@the_transit_guy The Austin population is growing, and the investment in infrastructure should help with increasing traffic congestion. I'm all for alternative modes of transportation, but this infrastructure investment is necessary.

A 22-member board representing the suburbs and city of Austin voted to expand I-35, a project that will take a decade and further split downtown Austin. Every single member representing Austin voted against the expansion, yet they have no choice. Absolutely insane.
