Since Berkshire is an insurer, it needs a lot of cash on hand, and so ratio charts tend to be more informative than nominal charts.
Berkshire's cash amount as a share of enterprise value has averaged 24% over 20+ years, whereas today it's nearly twice that at 44%.

Tesla self-driving saves a lot of lives – the statistics are unequivocal.
That doesn’t mean it’s perfect, of course.
Even when we improve safety 10X, saving 90% of the million lives lost in auto accidents every year, Tesla will still get sued for the 10% who did die. The 90% who are still alive mostly won’t even know that Tesla saved them.
Nonetheless, it is the right thing to do.

Tesla FSD just saved two lives on the highway. A man walked straight into traffic in heavy fog/rain at 65+ mph. The Model 3 spotted him and swerved safely. Could’ve been fatal for both the pedestrian and my cousin driving. Insane reaction time. Grateful for @elonmusk @Tesla

Yeah that sucked and was bad. If you check out my history, you'll know I'm not afraid to criticize the mainstream media. I also had a lot of bad experiences on Twitter circa 2018-2021. It should be a low bar to clear. I don't think the current iteration of X is clearing it.

Elon Musk: The best evidence that the X algorithm pushes low quality info is that it gives us Nate Silver tweets. Not that Gunther and Jackson Hinkle dominate the algorithm.

There's nothing organic about it; it's deliberate choices you and the team are making. And although those choices may have been defensible in the abstract, they're clearly resulting in low-quality content rising to the top. You're a smart dude, you can build a better algo!
