@PeterMcCormack @garyseconomics @DanielPriestley I think you would be fair. And you both actually care about the same thing; wealth inequality and helping real people.

@JamesNeilMeece @garyseconomics @DanielPriestley We could have a good chat but he won’t come near me as he’s a socialist and I make fun of him

This is how long it would take for @TrumpSC to take for his turn if there was no rope in Hearthstone.

67 minutes, 44 seconds. Hikaru's 13th move today was the second-longest move in Candidates history after Grischuk's 72 minute think in 2021. ⏰

This would be amazing. I only drive like 1500-2000 miles a year.

Tesla Self-Driving, Pay Per Use Pricing Every car comes with Self-Driving activated. If you don’t have a monthly subscription, you can charge your Supercharger credit card already on file for a single self-driving ride, the same way you do in the Robotaxi app. 👍 or 👎?

@iamtomnash I was wondering if you used them. I have noticed the slim down.

GLP 1 demand is exploding because everyone wants the easy button, quick fix, no effort, no discipline
I dropped 50 pounds in 5 months
No drugs
Just sleep, clean diet, resistance training, consistency
There is no secret, just boring execution every single day
If I can do it, anyone can
This is not a flex, this is proof that discipline still works

@bryan_johnson This is why we need each other.
How did you discover this?

Guys, I’m an idiot. All this time I’ve spent trying not to die, I had toxic turf in my backyard. Artificial turf contains crumb rubber infill made from recycled tires, which leaches chemicals including PFAS, heavy metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These compounds are linked to hormone disruption, carcinogenicity, and systemic inflammation.
I don’t know how I missed it. It makes me question my basic competence in life.
What gets me is that I try so hard to survey the world of potential idiocy. Then I find out there’s a monument to idiocy sitting right in front of my face that I was blind to.
I’m removing the turf, yet I’m still stuck with this seemingly unsolvable problem of how to not be an idiot.

Each day I think I'm as good a programmer as I can ever be. And then the next day I wake up and can't BELIEVE how lame I was yesterday! And if you're not actively coding, you will break that cycle.
I don't write a lot of code that I've written a dozen times before, I'll grant that. I use AI for that.
But if it's a complex or novel system, I find it easier to lay the groundwork C++ code myself and THEN let AI flesh it out.
In some ways, it's the best time ever; you get to do the fun part, and then the Tailor's Cat comes at night and finishes the job.

Serious question: Is there any programmer left in the room still coding the traditional way, character by character, without using AI? If so, why? Explain your reasoning.

Ok guys, Claude is OP.
We have these Intel Galileo devices that we use to test NVME drives. Well, there is a FW update we could never get to work on them, but the FW works just fine on other machines.
Problem is, we have like hundreds of these Galileo's in the field.
They have an old NVME cli. I tried prompting my way thru coding a new CLI that works for the Galileo (i586!), but I ran out of tokens twice. Then, I got Claude code to it, and it worked! It actually fixed all the shit that happens when trying to compile from source to a different architecture, it actually ended up using i486.
Ok, tried the new CLI but I'll be dammed if the FW update STILL FAILED. Back to prompting.
Claude gave me another sequence and BOOM, the FW update works now on Intel Galileo. Solving a long standing issue, saving us money that we would have to spend on new HW.
Turns out we don't need a new CLI at all! But I have to say, the way Claude Code was able to debug itself and produce a static compile was truly impressive. I can't imagine doing that work manually (well I can imagine it, I just would never want to!).
I can't tell you how many hours we've spend on this one issue.
So yea, use these tools. I keep learning them more and more.

Hey @Timodc I'd love to have you on to talk about your recent takes on the Far Left and how the Democrats should treat them.
We very much disagree.
We should chat. Maybe @hutchinson and some others could come too.
