They’re called nurses. They’re called physicians. They’re not called providers. I was on vacation recently and I was introduced to our highly educated provider for our massage. Provider means nothing. The only people who call physicians and nurses providers are as follows: 1. Lazy and undisciplined people. 2. Insurance sales people. Especially fully-insured brokers and jumbo consultants. 3. Tech bros. 4. ESG folks. You’d think they know better. I had to explain why 20mg of dilaudid for a child’s broken leg wasn’t appropriate. The MD argued it’s weight based with no max dose. Or why I had to explain 3%NaCl IV replacement wasn’t the same as 3% nebs Or when I led an entire successful pediatric code while waiting on MD

@bodagetta Blood samples can become hemolyzed at any point (during collection, transport, handling, etc.) Spilling of interior contents of red blood cells might falsely elevate certain lab values (like potassium). Not every lab parameter is affected by this, though.

They processed the rest of the CBC and CMP and Mg and P and TSH and t4 and IGG, etc. but ALT and AST and K were a nope can’t do these. Why?? I want to understand how these tests are done.

Day 1 of 2 of IVIg no issues except my some of my labs had hemolysis. Really the only labs I cared about. Why does this happen? Oh well. They’ll redraw tomorrow. Everything else is good.

💔 Unacceptable. @nataliesparacio there are so many issues with the PBMs and their mail order pharmacies. I was so overwhelmed when I first became an advocate and found so many suffering. I can't believe they get away with it. @TheJusticeDept
