It was my son’s first professional fall season The Nationals invited him to instructs Probably because he was a catcher and lived in Florida Then, a few weeks before camp, the organization overhauled its entire player development staff At camp, the new group met with every player A quick “get to know you” conversation and a talk about individual development plans One of their questions: “What makes you great? Why are you a prospect?” Jake told me guys were answering things like: “I hit for power.” “I’ve got a great arm." I asked Jake, “What did you say?” He’s never been a showcase guy Not flashy. Not loud tools Just a ballplayer Jake said: “I looked them in the eye and said, I’m really good at winning baseball games.” It was a major proud dad moment for me That might be the most underrated tool in baseball today The skill of winning games is getting lost in all the metrics It’s possible to build the physical tools and the win tool at the same time.” At The ARMory, that’s exactly what we teach How to pair elite tools with the skill of winning Train smarter. Compete harder. Win more. floridabaseballarmory.com | 866-787-4533

@JLucroy20 Toss it high, lean back, dump barrel, swing up. This is so accurate lol. Was just hitting them last night and actually thought of this

@JLucroy20 As a coach the Catcher Pop is the function that I struggle with. We all have something to work on. Glad to see it it happens to the best of the best hitters in the world too. Please post if you find something that works.

Welcome to the Driveline hitting lab! I wish this was a joke but it’s not. The kid hitting is a 28 year old independent league player. This is the type of training people are paying ridiculous amounts of money for. He’s obviously over swinging to register higher EV’s and that swing will not work in the game! The craziest part is that @MLB teams are hiring guys like this to work with their hitters! #shegone @notgaetti @BobFile @twuench @billdubs @slider_sinker @hittingguru7 @TheRealJHair @ToddPratt07 @mikepiazza31 @JLucroy20 @SalMarinello

Watching an opposing coach hit fungos during pregame tells me a lot… I’ll leave it at that. Because if you know… you know

@dsawyer40 I mean to be fair, wouldn’t shock me if Todd drew it up that way. Given the bone head plan to press on last defensive possession

As irate as I am at the ending....as a former athlete, I hope our fan base is kind to Xavian Lee tonight and in the future. Nobody feels worse than he does right now. #Gators

Catching the ball at your body isn't ideal, but if you get caught on an in between hop sometimes reacting from ground up and funneling it in is the best way to recover. But if I'm late getting down then I work against the hop and it's gonna be clank city #baseball #infield #coach

@AngelaAlpert @AlBuffalo2nite Think about what you just wrote. It’s sad that they’re “living their own life”??? Get off the screen and go do something. Life is to be lived. Scrolling headlines is not living

@AlBuffalo2nite I'm baffled at how many friends and family are not on X. Completely oblivious to everything. I've tried to get them to join the X universe to educate themselves but they have no interest. Just living their own life not caring about anything. It's sad.

Does anyone else feel like there are two completely different realities right now? On X… people are watching events unfold in real time. War developments… economic data… policy debates… global shifts. Then you walk outside, talk to people in everyday life, and it feels like none of it exists to them. No awareness. No curiosity. No sense that major things are happening in the world. It’s like two parallel conversations are taking place at the same time. One group is tracking information constantly. Another group is completely disconnected from it. So I’m genuinely curious… Is this just the nature of social media concentrating news and discussion in one place… Or are most people simply too busy living their lives to follow what’s happening? What do you think? #SilentMajoritySpeaks #AStoneGroove

@trippador @CFBHome Exactly. I was at fsu in 97 and cock block in 06. Cock block is the loudest moment I’ve heard in a stadium

@TJHannam10 Love this one. IMO biggest thing young hitters don’t do well. Lotta upright loads, shoulder spin, barrel dumps and attacks up hill or just rolls through the zone. Haven’t used that term “crunch” though I like that

9 hitting clips I use for teaching — and exactly why. Most coaches just say “watch the pros.” I actually break down what to look for and WHY Thread:
