@BWay124 @jamestalarico There are asylum seekers who are legally entitled to apply for protection. Reports from the Trump administration and current ICE raids suggest procedures are sometimes being applied in ways that may violate these legal protections, which is concerning from a biblical standpoint.

@BWay124 @jamestalarico God’s justice and love are not incompatible with compassion. The Bible emphasizes protecting the vulnerable and acting justly (Micah 6:8, Matthew 25:35–40). There is a humane way to enforce laws, even difficult ones like immigration—one that honors the dignity of people.

Scripture says you can’t love God and hate other people. You can’t love God and abuse the immigrant.  You can’t love God and bully the outcast.  You can’t love God and oppress the poor. In the face of a neighbor, we glimpse the face of God.

@elonmusk 1 & 2 can be true: 1) It's possible to overemphasizes collective guilt while underemphasizing individual responsibility and choice. 2) Still acknowledged that groups, including African Americans, have faced systemic disadvantages due to slavery, segregation, and discrimination.

@WealthWithYou @tyromper Resetting wealth doesn’t reset advantage, because advantage isn’t only money. 250 + years... Enslaved people were forbidden: -to earn wages -to accumulate property -to build generational wealth -punished for literacy or education Habits and discipline are important though.

It's not a secret what makes wealthy people wealthy. The biggest lie I fell for was there's some complex formula or gate keeling initiative to keep poor people from becoming wealthy. There's not. It's simple. Not easy, but simple. •Take full ownership of your life & money. •Live below your means & pay yourself first each month. •Stay out of credit card debt & if you can't afford it don't buy it. •How you use your free time is everything. Do you zone out to Netflix or hustle & create side income? •Put your dollars to work making more dollars. Be consistent for decades & you cannot lose.
