@RJBrydon10 @AnthonyRom65365 @kstateman14 One of the football players was initially ruled ineligible for competition but was later reinstated after repaying his wagering winnings to a charity of his choice - that doesn't look like a suspension to me

@40AcresBuilt @aggievillevoice Texas on what integrity is, is a left field take. Here let us push A&M out because of our own network that gets them but no one else more money, here let's leave the b12 for more money, here let's poach a coach as soon as he gains relevance just to fire him for fighting his gf

@aggievillevoice Tech owns this now. If there were an ounce of integrity anywhere in Lubbock they would have cut ties the second he was declared ineligible. They don’t get to duck that

Almost nobody hates Texas Tech, people hate Brendan Sorsby and what is happening to the sport. However, a lot of that hate gets directed at Tech and their fans because they try to defend Sorsby’s actions.

@guitarm3dic387 @justderington @two3oh2 @usatodaysports They had 50 NCAA violations and bet on their own team (longhorns). If the NCAA is as hard-lined as people say they should have both been permanently banned, John mateer was cleared with just Oklahoma doing an internal investigation.

The NCAA couldn’t stop Brendan Sorsby. A judge reinstated the Texas Tech QB despite his gambling scandal. Now the College Football Playoff might be the last group with the power to draw the line. It should immediately declare the Red Raiders ineligible for the CFP, columnist Matt Hayes writes. tinyurl.com/3cf7t4r2 📸 James Gilbert, Getty Images

@two3oh2 @usatodaysports When did ohio enter the chat, this is about Tech. And careful with the wire integrity when the Internet exists and it is very easy to find evidence of schools actually ruining the integrity. LSU coach, Texas gambling, Georgia arrests

Teams won’t say “I don’t want to play Georgia” … But will boycott TTU for a ruling they didn’t decide. Hypocrisy

@UT4x_champs You'd think someone from a school that has one of the best law schools in the nation would know that the court of law is just a tad bit higher than the NCAA. It literally does matter, and they have no right, sorsby sued the NCAA, not Tech.

The NCAA ruled Texas Tech permanently ineligible. Texas Tech appealed and the NCAA uphold their decision. Sorsby is still ineligible. Texas Tech is a member of the NCAA. It doesn’t matter what a judge says. The NCAA has every right to punish Tech. Don’t let this story go away.

@wiseOwl1984 @_bigounce I hate how most things need to be explicitly stated anymore instead of using critical thinking skills and understanding it isn't about Georgia, it's about players doing actual harm to the community and being forgiven to keep playing.

I would agree. Ban them both. You won’t find me defending the NCAA. But that’s not what the original post was saying. The original post was saying that anyone who is angry at TTU should be angry at Georgia. No mention of NCAA. I was just pointing out that there’s a false equivalency here.

@HausenKS Cinnci literally didn't dismiss him, nor did Indiana and we all know they both knew. We know for a fact cinnci knew, and I have a real hard time believing a school of Indiana s size and reputation didn't know.

@BurnerJarens @Michaeljher2883 @_bigounce You're a fucking idiot, him getting kicked off isn't the same as him being banned from the sport. You moralless fuck tards really will defend anything if it involves the sec. Congrats Georgia kicked him off, the NCAA still let him play the next season

@be_trades @_bigounce So let's just say cinnci dismissed him and he played for another team tech and move on. Same outcome right? What's the problem, tell yourself that sorsby was dismissed by Cinnci, went to Tech to play another season and move on. That's fine right? It's what that guy did so...

@AKarsten24118 @_bigounce But we are morally alright with allowing a player to have cruelty to children charges and keep playing. Fk those people gambling with no influence but let's let the kid keep playing for cruelty to children. Make it make sense

@_bigounce As bad as that is it makes no sense to not play Georgia because it has nothing to do with football. Sorsby actively bet on his own team. That is as big of a no no as you can do in football

@wiseOwl1984 @_bigounce The problem isn't he was thrown off the team, it's that the NCAA didn't do anything, didn't even attempt to. They will stop a kid who's been playing for 4 years for gambling without any influence on the games but won't ban a guy that was arrested for cruelty to children.

@Khazzeron @JackTriceMafia East/West conference with the same 4 teams over and over killed football, we finally get different teams each year and the sec/b10 are freaking out over their billion dollar lead. Cry me a river, well call it the Mississippi

@JackTriceMafia SEC didn't kill any other conference. Last I checked B12 is still a power 4 conference and doing fine. B10 didn't kill the Pac 12 either. The Pac 12 killed the Pac 12 due to their own bad management and teams getting sick of it. Imagine not being able to get a TV deal.

Sorsby being eligible is dumb but SEC and Big Ten parties clutching their pearls about Texas Tech killing college football is very rich and ~totally~not a deliberate overreaction to take the spotlight away from them being the villains.

@JackTriceMafia There is nothing the SEC teams has done that is remotely bad as a player making 1,000's of bets and over 90 thousand dollars betting on his team. Not one injunction. UGA speeding tickets? Not comparable. Getting extra years? No even close.
