Nice framing.
In truth, and in this formal context, the argument was that you better consistently and uniformly enforce "norms" if you claim they exist.
The fact this is how it's being framed, and that virtually no one is covering it, means it was a huge loss for the DFL.

Every GOP House member voted no last night on advancing assault weapons and high capacity magazine bans.
The public overhwelmingly supports action on both.
