@BowtiedQueenBee It’s crazy to me as a homeschool advocate you are willing to hamstring other homeschoolers based on personal beliefs. This is the elitist homeschool mentality that runs rampant throughout the community. You are doing more harm than good. Not that you care but unfollow.

@PooksMagoo @j_fishback I’m definitely voting against it. I’m trying to keep the government out of my homeschool. I’m also voting against socialized medicine and anything else “government funded.”

If you decide to pull your child from public school and homeschool your child You should get the full $13,000 for your child that would have been spent on your child in public school

You can do all that without a job.

I am shocked to see how many women say yes. I love my kids to bits but I always worked hard. Now they are adults we all have great relationships and a strong work ethic. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kids need to see their mothers out in the world, taking part in public affairs, being leaders - or at least using their talents for the good of society. Otherwise what are we teaching them?

To the women who are on this app, be honest If you could stay home, raise babies and run a cozy homemaker life.. Would you??

@ThrillaRilla369 I would and I do! I left my career to homeschool my kids. I will admit there are days I miss work because it was so much easier and the days were so much shorter. But home life is way more rewarding for me.

@BowtiedQueenBee @j_fishback You may not want this but there are plenty of homeschool parents that will jump at this, myself included. I love my charter homeschool and the resources have been so valuable. You don’t have to participate and join in but please don’t vote against us when the time comes.

@j_fishback Nah. That ropes the government into saying how and when and what hoops we have to jump thru to get it, exactly like you have in Florida already. What we need is a $13k deduction on our taxes.

@5am1am_6 I mean I couldn’t keep my cat indoors she would be miserable and I can’t really control where she goes. I’m not unsympathetic but honestly I’m not sure how I would resolve this…

Health insurance for a family of five can easily cost $30,000–$40,000 per year. So -- If you run a small business and want to recruit an employee who expects fully paid health insurance, that’s a really big number. If that same candidate happens to have a spouse whose employer covers the family's health insurance, it eliminates that cost for you and allows you to make a competitive offer. You literally save $40k just based on what that candidate's situation happens to be. Such a crazy system in so many ways.

@Hotshot_Movie I have lived in the middle of the CA desert my whole life and have NEVER had a rattle snake on my property. We do have TONS of gopher snakes which are territorial and keeps rattlers away.

I used to live right up the street from here. We’d get at least one rattler in our yard every year. We’d grab em and drop em off deep in the wildland near Camarillo.
