@dm_jns No, voting definitely cannot commence. That's the day that the formal process BEGINS. There's a long road in the EU bureaucracy before it gets to a vote. Realistically, October 06 is the most likely date. See my thread for details. Please stop hyping up unnecessarily.

@Rustavi @aikisteve @TeslaOwnersNL Definitely, mutual recognition is the much faster and more positive role. But it will take time for an EU-wide approval. Not least because there are time limits that cannot be skipped. For instance, the draft needs to be circulated at least 14 days before the vote. Which is huge

Thanks for the detailed thread and the realistic look at the bureaucracy 👏 Still, the situation is more positive than it seems: the Dutch RDW already officially approved Tesla’s FSD Supervised on April 10, 2026 — the first EU approval. This opens the door immediately via mutual recognition. Other member states can now nationally recognize the Dutch approval without redoing the full process. Tesla itself is expecting a broader European rollout this summer 2026. The TCMV step for full EU-wide harmonization will indeed take longer, but in practice countries like the Netherlands (and soon hopefully Germany, Belgium, France etc.) can start much earlier. Patience is still needed, but it’s coming faster than October. 🤗

@alex_avoigt When do you realistically expect FSD approval in Germany, guys?

We are two weeks in Q2 and the Model Y is sold out in 🇩🇪 Germany for the next 3,5 months. If you order today your delivery will be earliest in August or September. Assuming FSD supervised will come to Germany too which is likely, we'll see much higher demand incoming therefore if you are interested in the Model Y you better place the order now. @ps3zocker @Rustavi Of course they don't. First, the whole dossier by the RDW,needs to be analyzed (that itself takes a long time). Then they have to draft the Implementing Act, and translate it officially into all 24 EU languages. When done, they must send it at least 14 days before a meeting

@Rustavi We know from the Reuters statement that the RDW will present their case in May (so likely the 5th). I don‘t know if they will do votings right after that. Could also be June 30. Does anyone have evidence that they do same day presentation-voting?

Good news for Belgian Tesla owners! 🇧🇪 The Brussels homologation team has confirmed important details regarding the new European type approval for Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) granted in the Netherlands. Key points: - A European type approval is, by definition, valid across all EU Member States and should be automatically recognised, no additional Belgian approval should be needed for the technical side. - Vehicle homologation (technical certification) is handled at the regional level in Belgium (Flemish, Walloon, Brussels). - The authorisation of autonomous driving itself remains a federal competence. This is positive news: the Dutch EU type approval for FSD Supervised should pave the way smoothly for Belgian owners, without extra regional bureaucracy for the vehicle certification. Road safety remains a shared priority. Tesla owners in Belgium, FSD Supervised could be coming your way soon, potentially via national recognition or EU-wide rollout. Exciting times ahead! ⚡

🇧🇪Good news for Belgian Tesla owners! The Netherlands’ RDW just issued the first European type approval for Tesla FSD Supervised. Attached letter from the Belgian federal administration (Minister Jean-Luc Crucke) shows they strongly support European autonomous driving legislation and have been actively involved in the discussions. Since it’s a European approval, Belgium could follow the Dutch decision much faster than expected! #Tesla #FSD #Belgium
