@leRaffl @_themenace_1 @alex_avoigt It can take from 4 weeks up to 12 months or more, depending on the complexity. Also, member states can ask questions and demand changes. It's a really fluid timeline, but I would expect a voting this year to be realistic and I hope for June 30 as well.

@ps3zocker @_themenace_1 @alex_avoigt I mean... Would make sense. That act needs like 2-4 weeks right? So if we're lucky they COULD make it in time, but if true that'd mean a June 30th vote.

I assume that all 🇪🇺 EU member states will wait for the vote on the supervised FSD in Brussels before making individual decisions, and that the result will be a majority and thus approval for the entire Union. The negative political association of FSD with Elon is off the table and not have much influence following the 🇳🇱RDW’s decision in the Netherlands, and after the authority’s thorough testing, there is no longer any technical or safety reason to reject the system. Since each country has one vote, large countries with a significant automotive industry, such as 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇫🇷 France, or others, do not have the necessary influence to block FSD, while many small countries will vote in favor of it. The math works in favor of an approval. Even if this vote, currently expected in May, does not go as planned, which I don't expect, many member states will approve the system individually. The bottom line is that FSD will come to 🇪🇺 European countries one way or another. $tsla

@leRaffl @_themenace_1 @alex_avoigt To the best of my knowledge, the Implementation Act needs to happen beforehand. It's the legal basis for the voting and all member states need to know exactly what they're voting for.

@leRaffl @_themenace_1 @alex_avoigt You cannot just out a random voting on the agenda. What they will vote on is an Implementation Act that still needs to be worked out by the Commission and translated to all EU languages.

@_themenace_1 @alex_avoigt As I understand it, the vote only needs to be put on the agenda by the commission which has to be notified by RDW. But RDW has notified the commission and TCMV already, so adding an agenda point should be a quick formality. The RDW will present either way as I understand it.

@dm_jns No voting on the 5th. It's just the RWD's presentation. An Implementing Act needs to be worked out after (plus translated to all 24 EU languages) before it can be voted on.

@Rustavi We know from the Reuters statement that the RDW will present their case in May (so likely the 5th). I don‘t know if they will do votings right after that. Could also be June 30. Does anyone have evidence that they do same day presentation-voting?

"A spokesperson for the Commission said that the Netherlands had informed it that it will present the case to the relevant technical committee in May." The next technical commission date is on May 5, and then June 30. I suspect the voting will take place in June then.

@EFIEBER_ANDRE Von Reuters: "A spokesperson for the Commission said that the Netherlands had informed it that it will present the case to the relevant technical committee in May." Wann ist der nächste Termin der Kommission? 5. Mai. Wenn wir Glück haben, Abstimmung schon da. Ansonsten 30. Juni.

📍Jetzt ist es offiziell: Die niederländische RDW will die EU-weite Zulassung für Teslas FSD Supervised auf den Weg bringen. Als Nächstes müssen die Mitgliedsstaaten im zuständigen Ausschuss abstimmen.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

NEWS: The Dutch vehicle authority (RDW) ‌has notified the European Commission of its plan to seek European Union-wide approval for @Tesla's FSD (Supervised), Bernd van Nieuwenhoven, general ‌manager of type approvals at the regulator, said. Next steps: • All member states vote on this application • Approval requires a majority of votes within the responsible committee. As I said yesterday, the RDW often sets the standards that influences almost all of Europe, so if the vote passes, we should expect countries outside the EU as well to approve FSD.

I'd say May 5 is a little bit too early, but the one after that could be realistic, given that Tesla previously stated on March 20 that they expect a full EU rollout in the summer.

Some facts for when to expect the European Commission vote for Tesla's #FSD: The next meetings are on May 5, June 30, October 6, December 1. The agenda for those meetings is always published three weeks in advance, so tomorrow for the next meeting. #RDW

@elonmusk @Tesla @TeslaClubGER @PSchnieder @teslaeurope was denkt ihr?

@ps3zocker @wholemars If you think it will pass the EU vote, I have a bridge to sell you. Elon spends all his time shitting on EU politicians, accusing them of horrible things. They will vote no just to spite him, at which point he will have to try to get it approved in each country separately.

@madproxy @wholemars That‘s false. The same type approval that the RDW has given will be subject to the EU approval. They will vote on that specific approval, it‘s a yes or no question, no talk about changes.

@wholemars RDW is a legal body of Netherlands and they only made it legal in Netherlands. So there is no such thing as "FSD Europe" and if it is eventually approved in other countries rules might be differrent.
