Countries that were planning to buy the overpriced F-35 should consider the Russian Su-57 instead. It’s cheaper and more reliable than that American junk. Just look at this beauty

They're not paying anyone. They're just collecting your data. The plan has always been to collect a list of who has these guns, and then say "Well, fuck you, we're not paying you, but now that we know you have it you have to give it up".

Important news: The budget for compensation has been slashed by 74%, from a promised $250M to just $64.8M, with no notice given to either existing or potential participants. youtu.be/6EhXUU2OV6w

The news that 47K firearms have been declared brings the cost incurred by the taxpayer to ~$22,000 per firearm, with basically none of the declared firearms having yet been confiscated nor destroyed.
Public Safety Canada@Safety_Canada

After two months of the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program for individuals, more than 47,000 prohibited firearms have been declared across Canada. Deadline to submit your declaration is March 31. See the provincial and territorial breakdown here: canada.ca/en/public-safe…

So: according to Danish sources, Denmark was ready to throw-down if Trump made his Greenland play. They had demolition charges, a war load-out and plasma. Canada: we have to get our 300,000 citizen army stood-up ASAP. This is the real deal.

@Bentheblacklab It's not. It just means it can fly in environments where an aircraft like the Gripen would have been shot down long before it even got close to the target.

Weird, I thought stealth was a panacea offering unlimited invulnerability. Guess I was misinformed.
Natasha Bertrand@NatashaBertrand

Breaking from @halbritz @OrenCNN : A US F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at US air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter. Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for US Central Command, said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing. Hawkins said the aircraft landed safely, and the incident is under investigation “The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added. The incident would be the first time Iran has hit a US aircraft in the war started in late February. Both the US and Israel are flying F-35s in the conflict; the aircraft costs upwards of $100 million.

Not only will the Liberal gun confiscation scheme target law-abiding gun owners while doing nothing for public safety, it's on track to waste upwards of $1 billion in taxpayer money. calibremag.ca/gun-ban-budget…

@AndrewLawton Coming from the country I know lots that hunt big game, small game and water foul, each requires a different type of firearm. Not one single gun amongst them was on the list of prohibited firearms. Not even one! So it's safe to say if you have a gun on the list, you shouldn't.

@Simon_Cleret @PumpkinFish4 @JT_Fisherman @gary_srp The number of people who have agreed to take a shekel for their AR is not the same as the number of people who will, come October, hand over their AR for sweet fuck all. The latter group doesn't care about the money. They're just betting that the whole thing will just go away.

@Arkasiraee @JohnLeePettim13 There's a reason why industry doesn't produce hydrogen by splitting water with electricity. And that is because the amount of energy needed is enormous The way hydrogen is made is from methane and steam aver a high temperature catalyst You're better off using natural gas for fuel

Let's be real, Hydrogen is not the stupidest, most ridiculous or impossible energy alternative that's outdated 2004 thinking! It works like an advanced battery, you put clean renewable energy in to make it from water, and yes you lose some when using it (30-45% comes back today, much better than old claims). But that makes it renewable and perfect for storing power long-term. Hydrogen vehicles are real and commercial Toyota Mirai cars, Hyundai models, and tons of trucks and buses are already driving today around the world. New special materials have fixed the old pipeline and tank problems. On the explosive part, it does ignite easily, but it rises and spreads super fast so leaks usually just disappear harmlessly safer than gasoline in many cases. Hydrogen is absolutely the future because batteries are awesome for small cars but can't handle heavy trucks, ships, planes or storing energy for months at a time. That's where hydrogen shines, and with thousands of projects and billions pouring in worldwide, it's scaling up fast in 2026. It refuses to die for a good reason, it is any-day better that batteries to store energy for large energy storage requirements.

Hydrogen is the stupidest, most ridiculous, and most impossible energy alternative. It takes 5 to 10 times more energy than it returns. This has been known since 2004, yet hydrogen refuses to die. It is far from renewable because it contains no energy at all—energy must be forced into it like a battery—and you lose even more when converting it back to electricity. It has the worst energy return of any alternative: far more energy goes in than you ever get back. Consider the process: you first split hydrogen from natural gas or use far more energy to electrolyze it from water, then compress or liquefy it, build extremely expensive and short-lived steel containers and pipelines (since hydrogen embrittles them), and finally deliver it to virtually non-existent hydrogen vehicles. Fuel cell technology remains far from commercial. It is also highly explosive. Hydrogen requires 12 times less energy to ignite than gasoline vapor, so the smallest spark or heat source can turn it into a bomb.

@Bentheblacklab @TallyWicke67261 And what if, hear me out, we partner with Ireland to capture a leprechaun and use the proceeds from the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to fund defence procurement? Because that's a more likely scenario than what you're talking about.

To give everyone a glimpse into the scale of the problem when it comes to munition production: Raytheon manufactures approximately 90-100 Tomahawk missiles per year. The Tomahawk was invented in 1991, so given the above, we can estimate they've produced between 3100 and 3400 missiles in the last 34 years. We fired 375 Tomahawks in the first 36 HOURS of our current military operation in Iran. Assuming we had a full capacity when we started (which we obviously didn't), that's 11% of everything we've made since 1991. So, no, we can't actually just keep doing this forever. This is just factual information and not even a comment on the war itself so don't let it twist your thong up into your asshole too much further than it already is. This is the nature and the limitations of manufacturing precision weapons. Some of you really believe we can just press the red button an infinite number of times, but it simply isn't the case.

I’m guessing that it means the household had a weapon handy. Which means not stored properly. But the criminals are armed. Maybe it’s time for a home training on self defence. And not having to worry about being charged when you are the one being attacked.
Steve Ryan🇨🇦@SteveRyanCP24

3 suspects sought in Vaughan break-in, homeowner who fired gun at them not being charged. This might be the start of a new approach to investigating when shots are fired in self defence. Need new legislation to support this approach. IMO. cp24.com/local/york/202…
