Let’s be honest, if that was another player and not Messi, he would have been showed a red card or even a yellow card. But surprise, surprise, nothing was given. I also think it was because of the referee. If it was another referee, the card would have been given. And, there is a high probability the direction of the match would have changed. The studs-up contact on Aïssa Mandi's calf looked clearly dangerous, reckless, and worthy of a straight red card.
