This type of guy was very common at my high school. It’s the norm for most of human history. Every time I hear someone on here rhapsodize about “deeply rooted” communities, I think about my home town. It was exactly this, and from an intellectual perspective it was terrible.
Any higher aspirations were systematically selected against. The highest of ambitions centered on the high school football team.
The only remedy, ultimately, was exit

But to answer your question, even though your dodging the discussion here, yes I think the oppression of white men in contemporary America is worse than what black slaves went through in America. I would argue that the fact black slaves had a lower suicide rate than white men today largely speaks to this. Clearly the institutional pressure against Whites is more destructive on them than slavery was for blacks.
