Not trying to make this a debate or a you’re wrong kinda thing, just wanting to share with a fellow fan that the future is bright. They’ve owned the dodgers for 12 years and it’s no shit been the most successful 12 years in MLB regular season history when you factor in their WL record and titles

The dodgers to my knowledge are extremely well run, (not a baseball guy) but the mechanics of building a team in baseball are completely different than building a basketball team. Until we see actual basketball guys in the building, what faith am I supposed to go off of lol

Take it from a guy that’s been watching th Dodgers up close a ton for a decade(how long they’ve owned the team) It’s not as simple as MLB has no salary cap and the Dodgers have more money. They’ve built an elite staff that’s been one of the 2 or 3 best at scouting and developing, they have like 10 reclamation projects on their resume, they’ve killed it on the businessside to bring in more money to fund these things, they have the best analytical staff in the league AND THEN they were able to go get the big names to top it off. I’d bet good money five years from now the Lakers are known for having elite scouting, analytics and they’ll have 3 guys on their roster producing 5x value on their contracts the same way Boston has been able to

Biggest incoming Lakers offseason in close to a decade, and I have 0 faith in the front office to make the right decisions. Weird place to be for a team that’s probably gonna be the 3 seed in a super competitive conference.

He’s making “decisions” with more oversight and different bosses and tbh they didn’t allow him to do much this season in a transition year Offseason gonna be a reflection of Walter rather than Pelinka

For the Lakers to truly compete with OKC they’re going to not only need to surround Austin and Luka with quality athletes/defenders, but one of them is going to have to hit the same way NAW hit for Atlanta.

Second best stretch of the season was the first 3/4 weeks when he was the second option too 29/8/7 when LeBron’s not playing. We definitely need to at least explore what Luka/Austin would look like for a season with defenders around them. Worst case he’s a quality trade piece a year from now
