@Millwallryan96 @MagpieMediaX Are you actually this fucking stupid? Where did I say it’s an excuse? All I said was that grieving isn’t a competition. Christ you’re a special specimen. Absolutely fucking twat to boot.

@MagpieMediaX Fucking hell we lost our chairman and goalkeeper within a year of each other both tragic deaths and still over performed. Using a death to say why they are not performing weirdos

Great to catch up with my friend @JDVance today in DC following his talks in Pakistan. It is vital that the ceasefire continues and we get shipping flowing freely again through the Straits of Hormuz. We continue to work together towards a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

@PartedBeard @Carra23 1) You must be young 2) You don’t know ball 3) Own goals is the most useless stat. By far. 3) You’re a fucking twat who we don’t want associated with our club. We took a vote.

@Carra23 You do not fit the modern game. That’s fine and VVD is right about that. You had three excellent seasons, but you lacked pace, elite passing ability, etc.

I don’t blow my own trumpet as it’s not my style or the style for people from the city of Liverpool, but we are allowed to defend ourselves! There has only been three CB’s from LFC to make the PFA TOTY in the PL era, VVD, Sami & me!! The year was 2005/6 when the PL CB’s were…….
Parted Beard@PartedBeard

Carragher was Henderson of his time. A loud leader that pushed teammates to be better. Overall he was an average CB with outstanding moments like Istanbul after 1st half. Because he is a famous pundit and a local lad he is overrated by local fans. PFA Team Of The Year once.

@geraldknobinson @sickobil Me + 4 friends went through an entire booklet of discounts one of them had. Cost a lot despite them being about a third of the price. Then my Irish mate got them to do 2 rounds of the craziest concoctions I’ve ever seen. He knew the manager. That’s what it took to get cut off.

This whole McSweeney phone theft business is beginning to stink. The timing is incredibly convenient for a government that wants to cover up. Why did McSweeney report the theft to the police himself?Surely Downing Street security should have been immediately alerted — and they would handle it from there. Did McSweeney want to establish a record of him reporting it? Why did McSweeney never correct the police when it was clear they thought the theft had been in the East End and, of course, it happened in Westminster. Did McSweeney relish the confusion? Why did McSweeney not make clear the national security significance of it being his phone to the police? Was he worried they’d then take it seriously, unlike most phones thefts?

I actually have no issue with reformed characters — whether it's James McMurdock or Manwar Ali — as long as the reformation is genuine and persistent. McMurdock was 19, drunk, owned it, served his (short) time, and from what we see has lived a clean life since. People make stupid mistakes when young. Manwar Ali spent years promoting and fighting violent jihad (which could have got a lot of people killed), then genuinely turned around decades ago. He's been doing deradicalisation work, giving talks like his TED one, running charity, and helping the authorities for a long time now. If that change has stuck and he's truly helping prevent more extremism, fair enough — redemption should be possible. The principle is the same for both: real change + time + no repetition = move on. Selective forgiveness based on politics or background is the real hypocrisy. What matters is consistency, not swapping names to score points.

When I first graduated and started life in the grown up world, I was taken out for lunch by a senior manager at the firm I’d just joined. This was my first client facing role and was a big step forward for me. The senior gave me a piece of advice that I’ve never forgotten. He said never try and close a deal by bad mouthing the competition. It just brings the whole industry into disrepute. The more experienced I get the more I realise how right he was. Bridget never had the chance to get this kind of advice because the only job she has ever had was a few years working for her mum’s charity. Now the country is stuck with a SoS who knows nothing about the world she’s in charge of and I’m stuck with a colleague whose best shot at advancing herself is by putting out comments like the one below. C’est la vie Thank you to everyone who has come out batting for me. I’ll keep on keeping on 👍

Reform UK said I was 'bullying' when I pointed out their colleague was jailed for beating up his former partner. Now, they're trying to sneak him back into their party. So I'll say it again: James McMurdock was jailed for beating up his former partner. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
