I started learning to draw 13 days ago, so this tweet came at the right time. I spend 60 minutes every day watching tutorials, doing line work, drawing with reference images, etc. Obviously I'm not perfect or ANYWHERE close but 2 weeks was enough to give me a good grip of the basics. Now my lines are a lot more accurate, sketches take me 15 minutes instead of over an hour, and the art actually looks a bit like what I intended it to. So yes imo Dan's right

You can learn anything in 2 weeks. You can't master it, obviously, but if you obsess over it, you can become better at it than most people ever will. You'd be surprised how fast your life can change when you understand this.

the first time a client's post went viral i was confused lol since i realized how much time i'd wasted overcomplicating everything before that point. i was studying what the big accounts were doing, breaking down hooks and structures and formats, trying to reverse engineer why certain posts blew up. and some of that was useful, sure... but most of it just made me overthink every single post to the point where nothing felt good enough to put out. so i found it crazy a post went viral when i just started testing ideas. literally just threw shit on the wall until it stuck. that was when i realized what works for one account might completely flop on another. i'd argue that's also why copying other people's content is a terrible long-term strategy. even if it works, which it rarely does, you'll get called out for it eventually, and once people start associating your name with copying, you'll be cooked. plus by the time you've changed it enough to where it isn't really copying anymore, you've basically just written an original post anyway. so why not start there. because the real strategy is stupidly simple: 1) test multiple ideas 2) watch what performs 3) double down on what works 4) stop trying to copy what worked for others don't overthink this process.

nah this is very true even back when i did instagram theme pages the posts racking millions of views went viral solely because of the idea they were literally just 7 second reels with the read-in-caption format id repost the same posts every few weeks and they'd still go viral. the reels would good hooks would underperform if the ideas weren't interesting to the audience even with goated ass hooks, a boring idea is still a boring idea and vice versa

I saw a lady crying infront of the local plug She needed heroine, but had no money I paid for it on the spot That's what money actually buys - the ability to say yes instantly The ability to help others in need too

i've managed $750M+ in eCom ad spend and the brands that break past $300k/mo almost always have one thing in common: it's not their creatives and not even their Meta strategy it's that they figured out YouTube ads before their competitors did and the ones still ignoring it keep making these 5 mistakes like clockwork: mistake 1: killing YT cause direct ROAS looks mid most founders launch YouTube, see 2-3x ROAS, panic, kill it within 30 days but YouTube isn't a direct response channel it's an ecosystem multiplier when u add YouTube to an existing setup: - branded search volume goes up 25-35% - Meta ROAS improves 15-22% (without touching campaigns) - email open rates climb cause people actually recognise yr name now YouTube doesn't just add revenue it makes every other channel convert harder (kill it and watch everything else dip) mistake 2: thinking u need new creatives this one kills me 🤦🏻‍♂️ founders think YouTube means: - hiring a production team - shooting new content - spending $15k on "YouTube-specific" assets nah bruv go to yr Meta ads manager find the 5 creatives already printing reformat them for YouTube same hooks. same scripts. same videos. just longer watch times cause YouTube users actually sit and watch instead of scrolling past in 0.8 seconds i've done this across dozens of brands works every single time mistake 3: measuring YT in isolation most founders look at YouTube in its own dashboard and think "this isn't performing" but they're missing the second-order effects: someone sees yr YouTube ad → doesn't click → googles yr brand 3 days later → yr brand defense campaign captures them at 12x ROAS that conversion gets attributed to Google but YouTube caused it same with Meta: - YouTube builds trust through 60-90 second videos - that trust transfers when they see yr Meta ad next - Meta conversion rate improves without changing anything if u only measure what u can see in one dashboard u will never understand what's actually driving yr growth mistake 4: using YT for cold traffic only YouTube retargeting is genuinely unfair someone visits yr site, doesn't buy, bounces most brands retarget them with a static display banner u retarget them with a 60 second video explaining exactly why yr product solves their problem conversion rates on retargeted YouTube traffic vs standard display: - display retargeting: 1.2% conversion rate - YouTube retargeting: 4.8% conversion rate 4x higher cause u built conviction through video instead of reminding them with a banner they scroll past mistake 5: not understanding the attention gap Meta: people scroll past yr ad in 0.8 seconds YouTube: people watch 60-90 seconds if the content is good that's a 75-110x attention difference and attention is where trust gets built trust is where purchase decisions get made yr Meta ad can generate interest but YouTube is where that interest turns into conviction this is why most founders plateau this is why scaling Meta past $6k/day gets brutal this is why the brands at $300k+ all have YouTube running they figured out that creatives expire but omnipresence compounds stop measuring YouTube by what it does alone start measuring it by what it does to everything else 🙏 - Finlay (take this seriously bruv)
