@MarathonDevTeam why is it that everytime I take a dna card in we get full gold lobbies but we go in with nothing and have a chill time? Also just matched a all gold mkb team in dire when all of us were cross play console only. They didnt miss one sniper shot. We lost 2 keys

@Protostar This happened to use in revival. Legit 39 seconds into the match we got jumped on from our spawn. Like the legit room u walk out of when u spawn into the game

Ok so marathon twt why are you able to rush a spawn still within the first TWO MINUTES of the game on cryo? I know about the glass break shutters, but how is bungie letting people open spawn doors at level 1 clearance?? We got rushed by this ttv squad and while we could have played better, just doesnt make sense to not have these doors into spawns locked to lvl two clearance? @MarathonDevTeam so there's an exploit in cryo. We spawned in revival and before we even made it out the first room where we spawn, we got jumped by a team. Like legit the first room where u put the first security down with 0 clearance. We legit walked in 30 sec into the match

@CoolRunnersClub I didn't believe in key based matchmaking but we brought in some shitty keys to Outpost ranked and killed a guy with this key I'm not gonna say it exists for sure, but it seems pretty damn coincidental

maybe I gotta hit level 160 before I see a gold key 😭

Ok so when we buffing the cryo key 6? Red key, rare as fuck & barely any good loot & the salvage is STILL GLITCH! U need vandal or the goo gun go get it @MarathonDevTeam

@isolatedrook This happened to use 3 times in a row. Bio tank on dire. We also got the same spawn everytime. We just got the same key from a body every run. No joke there is def something happening. We also killed a team in the gold room

Took a key to Dire Marsh, killed another team and they had the same key as we did. Starting to think there's something to this key based matchmaking business

@MarathonDevTeam The wstr still feels horrible. Why use it when misriah will kill all shields with two shots. I usually die more trying to use the wstr then just using my primary. It definitely need retuned. Make it feel good again. Change the rpm shorten the range & make it hit hard. Bad gun rn

We wanted to talk a little about a few of the topics we're seeing frequently from the community, and some updates we're planning. 💣Too Many Grenades A big topic in the community right now is that it's not a good experience to open up a fight only to be barraged with dozens of grenades. We're looking to push some changes to stock counts and stack sizes before the end of the season. We're keeping an eye on the overall usage of equipment and will make additional changes as necessary. 🪙Gold Ares Railgun The Ares railgun with a Prestige mod being able to one-shot Runners with purple or gold shields is unintentional, and we'll be issuing a fix in a future update. We want it to feel strong and fun to use without being so effective it becomes overly frustrating to play against. 🔫WSTR Damage Nerf The WSTR damage nerf was a temporary nerf and we just released a more nuanced set of changes earlier today in Update 1.0.6.2. While we aren't looking to change the two-shot breakpoints, the WSTR indeed took a bigger hit than we were intending with the temporary nerf and we intend for this change to put it in a better place. It should have similar effectiveness against AI as before the nerf as well have less damage fallout at range. Go try it out and let us know what you think. I am getting a little concerned at this point about the lack of addressing of grenades. It would be nice to know if anything is planned at all or if Bungie is happy where they are

@Ag0at I do notice that when im hitting key rooms with a full vault i don't ever get any golds. But when I hit them after losing a few times I start to find golds. Idk I think both ur vault value and ur loadout value contributes to the mm and the loot u find in the map

Vault-based matchmaking? Could it be real? Could the value of your vault be driving the skill level of your matches on Marathon? Let's reframe our thinking: Can *you* choose the skill level of your matches? My matches are great. Maybe yours could be, too. Sell your vault.

@UziiWakeYoAzzUp Misrah feels so bad without the rate of fire mag. Its got such a slow time to kill sometimes im left with 1 hp before I shoot my second shot for the knock lmao

@notAyker Idk bro there's been a few times when I loaded in with a purple key and someone is in the exact key room im trying to open lol. Happened like 3 times. I swear everytime I load in with fragile keys the map boss spawns, lockdowns or ppl are hitting gold key rooms.

there is no such thing as "key based matchmaking" in marathon

@falloutplays Same I think they need to buff the loot. More ppl get to play with cool stuff the more fun ppl will have. Ive gotten over the gear fear but I could see someone holding onto so many golds scared to lose them. We should be able to find golds out in the wild not just key rooms/cryo

Incredibly curious, would like to hear your thoughts: From my OWN personal experience playing Marathon - close to 400 hrs at this point - I feel that the vast majority of the time, the best loot that I manage to extract with almost always comes from the bodies of enemy players that me/my team kill (and not necessarily from the map itself) Is this your experience as well, or is it different? Interested to hear perspectives outside of my own.
