@odd_joel @levelsio I’ve got an audio transcoding setup running on a VPS, with Cloudflare Workers and Queues handling the pipeline.

I shut down my VPS and the app running on it after paying $50 per month for nothing for a few months. Had I built it on Cloudflare, the app would still be running. For many who will never reach @levelsio’s height, CF can keep what you built alive. Moshi runs on the CF stack only.
@levelsio@levelsio

I get 4,150,000,000 (4 billion) requests and 300,000,000 (300 million) visitors per year That'd cost me $338,913 if I wasn't on a VPS like @brian_lovin below Instead I pay $2,932/year or 115x less because I host my sites on my own VPS My VPS servers are way too big and usually only use 10% of their resources so I could even go with $300/year probably if I optimized more (but I don't care) Especially with AI these days it's easier than ever to host your sites yourself, and way cheaper! 100-1000x cheaper!

@forgebitz Devs maybe don’t know but if you paid for Copilot Pro+, you get access to Claude Code, Codex and use OpenCode too.

i always stick with cursor/opencode claude code is great but i don't care that much about a single model, they just nerf it within a few weeks same goes with codex the moat of the models is almost zero; it's all in the application layer

I have held ColdRoom.com and ColdRooms.com for over a decade. I checked my record, there hadn't been any interested buyers inquiring about these two domain names for nearly 8 years. I had almost forgotten they were still in my portfolio. Then a few days ago, a buyer purchased the plural version directly at the BIN price on @afternic and 3 days later, the same buyer bought the singular version at the BIN price as well. An interesting transaction.

Hei Ray, I am sorry to hear that, I thought push notifications were great for engaiging more, but was not my intention to have users to spam! Hope you will remain, there are so many talented builders. I will work on something to fix this issue. What about a switch inside builders map, if is On you receive notifications, if Off no. could work?

@natemixing this might be random, but I built a tool for audio review - if you’re open, I can set it up for your track and sit with you while you try it → audiomus(.)com

🎚️ Vocal stacking guide • Record 3-5 takes, try to perform them differently, pan hard L/R • EQ each take slightly differently (bright, warm, mid-focused) • High-pass stacks higher than the lead • Compress each take differently This creates width without mud. @natemixing

I’ve got an active user finding real value in the app! 🚀 The product-market fit is starting to click. Now the challenge: • Converting engagement into revenue 💰 • Scaling this to the next 100 users 📈 Any tips on moving from "power user" to "paid customer"?

My close friend: “You should hire and delegate.” Me: “Why?” Him: “To have fun. Or if you can’t, just take that offer and sell your product for $1,000,000+.” Me: “And what’s next?” Him: “Have a lot of fun and you can build whatever you want.” Me: “But what do I do now?” 😆

Pro Tip for Latin American Travelers: Do NOT come to Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, during the Semana Santa (Holy Week). It's anything but holy during this time. It's diabolical, loud, drunk, and not a great time, if you're into chilling, nature and relaxing. I'm friends with several Cafe and Restaurant owners here, and almost all of them shut down their shops bc of the nature of the tourists and people that come here. Not a great vibe.
