So let's cut to the chase. I have always wanted to drive trains since who knows when. My dad was a driver, my dad's dad worked on the railway and so did his dad. From today I am nolonger a trainee, I'm a qualified mainline driver baby!

Went out for breakfast today and paid cash; I had to remind the affable dude behind the register how to make change. Specifically, what the values of coins were.

Want to open an Irish bar? Paint a shamrock and some Guinness logos. Then hire a musician with a guitar. Thats it.

Travelling on the ol' Grand Central to London from Sunderland to have a coffee with family whilst im away from work. As always, the staff are cheery and in great spirits. It might take a bit longer to get to London this way, but the seats are more comfy than the class 800s.

All these influencers bragging about how they've smuggled booze into Coachella is cringe AF. They clearly havent been to a UK festival where youre pissed and waddling extremely slow through mud with a can of warm Stella under a novelty traffic cone hat... #coachella

The final scheduled @SW_Help Class 455 departs from Wimbledon at 00:53 last night. This was the last time you’ll see one of these trains in service as their lease expires on Monday.

The 7 vacant railway arches at Askew Road are currently receiving a makeover by local mural & graffiti artist @MarkOne87, to improve the public realm. It’s part of plans to turn the area into a space for pop up food stalls, performances & outdoor workshops, to increase footfall.

The Bridges Conservation Area by High Level Bridge & Tyne Bridge, once aptly named ‘Bridges Quarter’ has since been renamed ‘Gateshead Railway Quarter’ & a proposal for signage has been submitted. Separately, the old Askew Rd garage forecourt is to be paved to tidy up that plot.
