As veterans we should all be supporting one of our oldest charities modernising for the digital age in their centenary year, not tearing them apart. £100k over 3 years vs £1.9m per week on welfare...

@PoppyLegion RSM’s CO’s take note of this bullshit. Don’t coerce your soldiers in to buying an RBL poppy. This charity is not fit for purpose. Let your guys donate to other service charities instead.

@Robert_Purse @PoppyLegion It was because of @PoppyLegion modernising our Armistice Day and Remembrance Sundays that we aren’t just remembering the fallen of WW1. In their centenary year they need to evolve for the digital age or they risk being our competed by donkey sanctuaries & cat homes!

Really sad watching the abuse that @PoppyLegion is getting for changing their logo & branding to move with the times, which has a thoughtful sentiment in making the poppy centre stage. Rebranding it cost them just 0.1% of the money they provide in services to veterans per year.

Defence Minister @JohnnyMercerUK today paid a Christmas visit to four Plymouth-based Veterans. The Minister delivered some Christmas treats to the Veterans aged between 35 and 96-years-old and learned about how @PoppyLegion supports them through its south-west network. 🎁🎄
