I’ve walked through the ruins in ancient Rome, Athens, Cairo, and Venice reflecting on what once was. And I’m always left wondering, “What in the hell happened?” For each of these civilizations, something ultimately brought their demise. Now I understand. I’m watching it happen to my country. With our nation engaged in a struggle to defend its civilization, we have a “Fifth Column” solely intent on destroying what we and our ancestors have built. I’m also watching fellow Americans, leading Democrat Party officials, our education system, our popular culture, and our media actively destroying the roots and Judeo-Christian principles we were founded on. What country’s duly elected politicians, from both sides of the aisle, would shamelessly shut down our government and not pay it’s workforce because they want illegal aliens to vote, while neglecting the crime in our streets, the mutilation of our children, and the miserable plight of our homeless vets? What country has built a political structure in which elected “representatives” can make millions on the back of taxpayers and through insider trading, without ever really listening to those they serve? Whose elected officials issue edicts that limit the personal liberties of the 99% while dining at exclusive restaurants, communing at fancy retreats, and coiffing at haughty hair salons? What country’s legal system has been completely corrupted to the point that we have two levels of justice – the feudal land barons and the serfs? What country celebrates secularism, atheism, and idolatry over faith believers? What country underwrites an educational system that excludes parents, encourages sexual identity confusion, celebrates transgender lifestyles, and cultivates hatred for the nation so deeply that scholars openly cheer for the country’s defeat? What country’s moral compass is so skewed that it worships popular culture, bestowing untold wealth, fame, and popularity on its actors and musicians even as their contemptible words and subversive actions embolden our enemies around the world? I’m thoroughly disgusted to say my country. This isn’t the nation I was born and raised in. This isn’t the nation I grew to love and revere. This isn’t the nation that I served, flew, and fought for over 20 years. This isn’t the nation that I want to raise my children and future grandchildren in. Great civilizations don’t collapse because foreign enemies breach the fortress walls – great civilizations die because they rot from within. The American Left is seeking this outcome. They seek and are aggressively executing the plan. The American Left believes America is a jackbooted heel to the throat of the world, no matter how evil our foe. As the radical fringes drag along their more moderate liberal fellow travelers, they have brought the war home. They don’t care about you, they don’t care about me, they don’t care about our United States. They care about power. There is no doubt, we, as a republic, are at a crossroads. Our political process is broken due to the greed and ego of many who place their own well-being over yours. We are in a cold civil war that may turn hot. Ultimately, as in 1776, it will be upon us, the people. Right now, we’re failing.

I recently received a call from @SouthwestAir apologizing for the very poor service. They assured me management had heard the complaints about separating children from parents under their new seating policy. Obviously, that was just lip service. On a flight now departing DC, multiple young (under 6) children have been separated from their parents. This is extremely disturbing. I renew my call for the @FAANews to investigate this practice. It’s unacceptable. @SecDuffy
