The Mining Guy. 👷🏾‍♂️
I almost got attacked by Zama Zamas yesterday. What’s crazy is you’d expect that at the mine, but it happened at a tavern. I’ve honestly never felt that traumatised.

The country engaging in xenophobia against fellow Africans must be excluded from the G20 event. Isolate it.
Amb. Willy Nyamitwe@willynyamitwe

Hello @Sophie_Mokoena. I have just landed in #Malabo for the @_AfricanUnion Retreat on G20 Engagements in 2026. While #SouthAfrica has signaled a suspension of its G20 participation this year, the situation you mentioned raise legitimate concerns and will be discussed during this retreat. #Burundi will also reflect on South Africa’s experience and lessons learned during South Africa’s chairship of the G20.

🇳🇬 JUST IN: Ekiti Farm Manager Escapes After 42 Days in Captivity, Family Pays 17M Ransom An Ekiti State farm manager, abducted on October 23, 2025, near the Kogi State boundary, has recounted his harrowing ordeal after spending 42 days in the wilderness following a ransom payment of ₦17 million. According to the victim, his mother and younger brother initially paid ₦15 million in cash a week after the kidnapping, with an additional ₦2 million transferred, yet he was not released. The final ₦2 million payment triggered a violent dispute among the captors, which allowed him and other hostages to escape. He revealed that the kidnappers’ leader had told his family: “Na only God fit save us, we still have about ₦6.2 million to clear.” Despite his release, the family remains under Huge financial strain, struggling to pay the remaining debts incurred during the ransom process. The escaped victim described the experience as traumatic, emphasizing the ongoing risks for ordinary Nigerians in the face of kidnapping and insecurity, and lamented the heavy financial burden placed on families: “Nigeria isn’t a country 💔😫.” Authorities have yet to confirm the incident or issue statements regarding ongoing security measures in the area.

Did you know? In 1938, Oliver Tambo and Joseph Mokoena broke academic barriers for Black students, with their high scores in Mathematics and Physical Science in the Transvaal being matched by only one White student that year. This prompted the government to probe their marks and ordered them to rewrite both subjects. Even after rewriting, both Tambo & Mokoena still topped the matric class of the year. “The xenophobic a77ack happening in South Africa is not a reflection of who we are. Most South Africans are against it, sadly we’re quiet about it. Our constitution rejects this. Only 2% of crime in South Africa are led by immigrants. Nigeria gave us $61 billion during the apartheid; that’s a third of South Africa’s budget in a year.” — South African man says.

You have left South Africa, but South Africa is your everyday talk. The saddest part of new Amerikaner life is that you will have to spend the rest of your life talking about South Africa just to remain relevant. You will have to flatter and appease others every single day just to be accepted in the USA. You will be forced to be an American praise singer. By playing the victim and lying about South Africa, you have robbed yourself of a good life - and now, a victim is exactly what you will remain for the rest of your days.
Jason Bartlett@Jason2bartlett

As a white South African I don’t have a flag that represents me in any shape or form in South Africa Hence it has been easy to assimilate with the American people and honor the flag that has given us security and safety from the terrible persecution against the white minority

Since the end of apartheid on April 27, 1994, the African National Congress (ANC) has implemented Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and its subsequent broad-based version (BBBEE). These frameworks were designed to integrate Black citizens into the formal economy, stimulate growth, lower unemployment, and narrow the wealth gap. Despite these goals, the ANC has conceded that these programs have failed to deliver significant progress for the majority of Black South Africans, particularly women. Economic life has seen little advancement in the three decades following apartheid. While a small group of Black entrepreneurs has flourished, their success often occurs within an economic structure that remains rigged to favor a select few. Evidence suggests that the primary winners of BEE have been politically connected figures and party insiders. This elite group includes President Cyril Ramaphosa, former Gauteng Premier Tokyo Sexwale, ex-MP Saki Macozoma, and Bridgette Radebe. Their immense wealth stands in sharp contrast to the reality of ordinary South Africans, who continue to face the fallout of state capture, systemic corruption, failing public services, and significant underfunding in healthcare and education. Racial quotas and these fraudulent laws are deeply flawed. They only benefit government officials and act as a systematic looting machine that offers no benefit to ordinary citizens.
Farai Mazhindu@FaraiMazhindu

BEE laws are flawed. Once the discriminatory laws of the past are removed, the playing field should be governed by merit and competence, not a new set of race based filters. If the goal is freedom, then the state must stop acting as a racial gatekeeper.
