@0xlelouch_ Exactly matching with my story. Have 8+ years of experience and currently tech lead but it's just a tag. I'm taking ownership, doing tech doc review, pr review but don't know if that's enough for staff level work?

Just talked to a person via my 1:1 call and he said that after 9yrs of experience he is still not staff. He works at a reputed company but writing APIs in python. I suggested him to use AI to get better at system design etc and also get better at understanding the fundamentals. And tbh this is more common than people think. 9 years of experience does not automatically become Staff. A lot of people spend years doing scoped API work, closing tickets, staying reliable, but never intentionally building the skills that higher levels actually demand. Staff is not just writing more code. It is system design. It is driving ambiguity into clarity. It is taking ownership beyond your Jira board. It is influencing roadmap, mentoring people, seeing tradeoffs early, and communicating well with managers and teams. He said he is earning 27 LPA fixed which is not some disaster tbh. It is a decent base. One solid switch with better prep can move that to 40 to 45+ LPA very realistically. But the bigger point is this: - Stop thinking in "how do I escape next month" - Start thinking in "what can I become in the next 6 months" - Use AI daily. - Study fundamentals properly. - Practice system design. - Do Leetcode consistently. - Talk more with your manager. - Ask for ownership. - Get closer to architecture and decision making. Most careers do not change in one interview. They change when someone spends 6 months very seriously becoming a different engineer. Consistency looks boring in the moment. But in software, boring consistency is what usually creates the big jump. --- You can book 1:1 call if you want: topmate.io/abhishek_singh… Practice System Design for free: 0xffdevs.com/design Read interview Experiences: 0xffdevs.com/interviews Follow pathways: 0xffdevs.com/pathways And invest and buy the community token on Solana: 0xffdevs.com/token --- Thanks for reading. One of my friends from 10 years ago, Reached out to me yesterday in severe distress, His 76-year-old father was admitted to the hospital due to brain issues, For 36 hours, The insurer didnt accept the claim, The hospital did not start the treatment due to a lack of funds, This policy was completely online, My friend tried calling the customer care, But they said please email us, How can u wait for an email reply when ur father is critical? He reached out to me yesterday, Today, Literally after fighting with the insurer, The pre-authorisation to start the treatment was given by the insurer. My friend has now started the treatment, It's just heartbreaking how these claims are being delayed when the patient is really critical and needs urgent help. Glad that we helped him, Personally feel very very happy and satisfied!

#WATCH | Delhi | On Pakistan mediating US-Iran negotiations, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "Do you know what kind of relationship Pakistan has with Washington...There have been some allegations that Washington wrote that tweet for the Pakistani PM, because it had the heading, 'Draft for Pakistan PM'. If you and I wrote something for the Indian Prime Minister, would we write 'Draft for India's PM' above it? And the language used was also Washington's language. Also, some of the phrases were similar to those used by Trump a few hours ago. Only Pakistan can play the kind of role it has played with Washington..."

Why HDFC ERGO General Insurance plans feel easier for customers vs others like ICICI Lombard & Niva Bupa 👇 1. Simplicity wins HDFC ERGO bundles key benefits as inbuilt features 👉 No confusion of choosing multiple add-ons 👉 What you see is what you get 2. Other insurers approach In many plans from ICICI Lombard & Niva Bupa: 👉 Core plan looks basic 👉 Important features come as add-on riders 👉 Customer has to decide 3. Customer experience matters Less decisions = Less confusion 👉 Faster buying 👉 Better clarity during claims 4. Big upgrade – Optima Secure Plus The new Optima Secure Plus (launched recently) improves on Optima Secure: 👉 Earlier version didn’t have 100% bonus every year 👉 Now it’s more rewarding for long-term policyholders 5. Why this matters 👉 More value without complicating the plan 👉 Better coverage growth over time 👉 Stronger protection for families Final Thought 💡 Health insurance should be simple, transparent & powerful — not confusing. Plans that include more by default always feel easier to trust & choose. Note: policies has to choose based on medical history, PED and location, there is no fixed health insurance plan which suits to everyone. #healthinsurance #hdfcergo

Most policies look cheaper than HDFC Ergo… until you factor in the right add-ons. Basic covers like health check-ups, consumables, air ambulance, etc. are often missing. Alternatives looked attractive with unlimited bonus & PED reduction… But with Optima Secure+ now offering unlimited bonus, this might just be a game changer.

The Silent Scream: How One Liquidity Sweep Ruined Families Today. 🩸 Aaj subah 11:25 AM. Sensex 71,545 par khoon se laal tha. Ek retail Option Seller ne screen dekhi, aur poore confidence ke sath 71800 CE ko ₹101 par short kar diya. Usne socha: "Market itna weak hai, Sensex 71,800 kaise cross karega? Yeh ₹100 ka premium to meri jeb mein aayega." Usne leverage ka sahara liya. Margin kam karne ke liye door ki Puts buy ki, aur apni poori zindagi ki savings—wo paisa jo usne bachhon ki padhai aur ek naye ghar ke liye rakha tha—is ek 'safe' trade mein laga diya. Aur phir... Smart Money ka khel shuru hua. The Brutal Liquidity Sweep. Dheere-dheere market ne ghoomna shuru kiya: 🕒 1:00 PM - Call ka price ₹363: Trader ka dil ghabraya, par ego ne kaha, "Hold karo, abhi market niche aayega." 🕒 1:25 PM - Price ₹729: Haath kaanpne lage. Screen par MTM (P&L) heavily red hone laga. Dimaag mein aawaz aayi, "Bhagwan bas ek choti dip de do, cost-to-cost par nikal jaunga." 🕒 2:10 PM - Price ₹1190: Broker ke system se margin calls aane shuru. "You are short on funds." 🕒 3:15 PM - Sensex ne 73,568 hit kiya! Aur wo 71800 CE jise usne ₹101 par short kiya tha... wo ₹1607 par trade kar raha tha. ₹101 se ₹1607. Ek 1500% ka violent, aag laga dene wala move! Zara maths samajhiye. Agar kisi ne bina Stop-Loss ke sirf 1000 quantity (Sensex Options) short ki thi: Aane wala tha (Premium Collected): ₹1 Lakh. Market ne chheen liya (Total Loss): ₹15 Lakhs! Yeh sirf numbers nahi hain bhai. Jab screen par achanak laakhon ka loss flash karta hai na, toh saans atak jati hai. Kamre mein ek aisi chuppi (silence) chha jati hai jo seedha dil ko cheer deti hai. Gale mein aansu atak jate hain par aawaz nahi nikalti. Wo sirf aur sirf retail ke stop-losses aur margin ko hunt karne aate hain. Jo trader ego mein aakar market se ladta hai, wo zinda dafan ho jata hai. Stop-Loss aapka ego hurt kar sakta hai, ek din ka P&L kharab kar sakta hai... lekin dhyan se sunna: Stop-Loss aapki family ko sadak par aane se bachata hai. ₹100 ki cheez ko ₹150 par khushi-khushi kaatna seekho. Ek bada move, ek single liquidity sweep aayega, aur market usko ₹1600 banakar aapki tabahi ka bill aapke haath mein thama dega. Aaj jin bhi dosto ne apna account blow up kiya hai, dil se dua hai ki bhagwan unhe himmat de. Trading ek business hai, isko jua (gambling) mat banao. Protect your capital as if your life depends on it... because honestly, it does. I have seen this screenshot in X today , don't know if its true but it is possible ❤️ Drop a Heart if you promise to NEVER trade options without a strict Stop-Loss. 🔁 Repost this to save a fellow trader's life and capital today. Let this be a wake-up call!

Oracle laid off 30k employees!! Some of my friends/ex-colleagues got laid off. A friend of mine can't find a job for the past 6 months now. I've been warning about this for a long time now, and yesterday's jobs data showed that employment in the US is weak. We're likely to see more of this, as the market is currently very bad and a recession is soon to follow. As a software engineer, this is what should be done in times like these: Do not panic, but do not stay passive either. So your job now is survival first, leverage second. 1. Become very clear on what revenue or cost you touch If your work is close to money, infra efficiency, security, reliability, compliance, or core product growth, you are simply harder to remove. 2. Stop being “just a coder” People who survive bad cycles are usually the ones who can own outcomes: reduce cloud bill improve latency fix reliability ship customer-facing features automate painful ops work 3. Keep interview readiness warm at all times Not panic grinding. Just stay ready. A few DSA problems every week. One system design topic every week. One real project story polished properly. 4. Build proof of work in public In weak markets, resume bullets are not enough. Write. Build. Share code. Show architecture thinking. Show debugging ability. A strong GitHub, blog, X profile, or portfolio can tilt odds in your favor. 5. Have at least 6-12 months runway Layoffs feel different when you have cash. Emergency fund is not boring. It is freedom. 6. Move toward durable skills Distributed systems cloud infra databases security observability performance engineering AI infra integration 7. Network before you need help Most people start reaching out after getting laid off. That is late. Stay in touch with good engineers, recruiters, founders, and ex-colleagues now. 8. Treat your current job as paid training Even if the company is unstable, extract skill, stories, and domain depth from it. That way even a bad phase compounds into a better next move. Easy software jobs are fading. But high-agency engineers who can learn fast, communicate well, and solve expensive problems will still do well. In bad markets, average gets punished. Ownership gets rewarded.

🦔 Oracle laid off between 20,000 and 30,000 employees Tuesday morning, roughly 18% of its global workforce, via a single email sent at 6am EST with no prior warning. System access was revoked almost immediately after. The cuts are expected to free up $8-10 billion in cash flow. Oracle's stock has lost more than half its value since September 2025 and the company now carries over $124 billion in debt, up from $89 billion a year ago, with free cash flow running negative $10 billion last quarter. My Take Oracle posted a 95% jump in net income last quarter and still eliminated 18% of its workforce by email before most people finished their morning coffee. This is not a company in distress in the traditional sense. It's a company that made an enormous debt-funded bet on AI infrastructure and is now converting its workforce into cash flow to service that debt. We've covered Oracle's AI gamble for months. The $300 billion OpenAI deal through Stargate, $50 billion in capital expenditure this fiscal year, over $124 billion in total debt. Multiple US banks have pulled back from financing Oracle-linked data center projects. Bondholders have sued Oracle claiming it concealed how much additional debt the OpenAI deal would require. The credit default swap spread hit a three-year high earlier this year, meaning debt investors are genuinely nervous about getting paid back. The workers who got that 6am email built the products Oracle has monetized for decades. The bet that eliminated their jobs was made by people who were already paid regardless of how it turns out. That is the part of the AI infrastructure race that doesn't show up in the capex announcements. Hedgie🤗
