@Dansgaming I can't believe there are still people who intentionally can't understand what people are trying to say about this issue

Started playing Star Fox: Zero. Genuinely dont get the hate for this game. Like it is so clearly not a 64 remake, honestly I might like it a little more than 64 after my first impressions

The NYPD is crushing it when it comes to taking illegal mopeds and scooters off our streets. So far this year, the NYPD has seized over 5,700 of these dangerous, illegal vehicles — and we are not letting up.

Here are some ways I think Nintendo & Ubisoft could easily salvage Starlink: Battle for Atlas! - Switch 2 upgrade + all DLC included - Rebrand it as official Star Fox spin-off - No toys needed, but compatible with amiibo for small perks - Advertise it near rumored Star Fox movie

@SecretDJFaust Isn't the problem that people start using those labels for anybody they don't like or don't agree with? Or just makes them mad?

I know these type of games exist. And it's fine for people to like them.... But I'm personally tired of them. SO many games are getting more and more dumbed down to where it's more an interactive experience than actual game Challenge and failure should be part of the experience

A musical delight from start to finish, Mixtape sets a new standard for coming-of-age stories in video games and does so with a masterful sense of style. Our full review: bit.ly/4tEkAad

@animathias Man...... I don't think I remember where all the switches are off the top of my head. But I feel like once the level started going, I'd remember There's one of the left side of the train for sure. I remember that one being the one didn't know about until I did.

One of the most stressful missions in Starfox 64 is Macbeth. Your objective is to use the Landmaster tank to stop the supply train. Halfway through, Peppy tells you to shoot the 8 switches. Slippy and Falco's objective is to block your shots with their own arwings. #RetroGaming

I don't have an SNES classic and I don't have a rom downloaded, so no, that's one I haven't played, so I don't know everything about it. But, it's not unknown knowledge that Nintendo did pluck ideas and certain ideas from SF2 as well as reusing concepts from the first game. Like, the Star Wolf team, in 64. Those guys were lifted right from Star Fox 2. I know that for a fact.

Despite the cool ideas, the game did not perform well, and no one came out to support it. This is why Star Fox had been shelved so many times. So, here is another chance with this remake to put the series back on the map again. Sure, you don't have to like the design, but this definitely won't be a permanent look, since Star Fox's design changes with almost every entry. Everyone is so mad right now, but no one showed up for most of these Star Fox games compared to Star Fox 64. This is why we are in the predicament we are in right now.

To this day, I still think that Star Fox Assault had the best concept for a Star Fox game Fox is always talking about his blaster, and yet, this is the ONLY Star Fox game where he can actually use it I have spent years praying for Nintendo to expand on the concept of a Star Fox game, where you have on-foot action + aerial combat But nope, after years of nothing, all we can get is the same Star Fox game over again but with "realistic visuals"

@davythreeborn @AdriWindGB It's the same "Fox fighting Andross's floating head final boss fight". The way the boss fight is handled is different, but the story is the same.

Star Fox 64 is NOT a remake of Star Fox (SNES) Star Fox 64 3D IS a remake of Star Fox 64 Star Fox Zero is NOT a remake of Star Fox 64 please get it right, don't let the internet narrative convince you, yes they tell a very similar story but that's it😭

@AngryAtlantean @MugenLord Uhhhhh. I dunno about that. It's been a while since I played the original Star Fox, but I'm talking about ideas like vehicles, how the different planets were set up, even the independence day level. Was any of that stuff in Star Fox 2? I've only played the first level of 2

You can't out do Star Fox 64 because Star Fox 64 couldn't out do the original Star Fox. It literally poached the story from the original, plus various gameplay ideas from the original and the then unreleased sequel. Nintendo didn't put their own creativity into Star Fox 64, they legitimately ripped off Argonaut's core premises from both of their games and crammed it into THEIR game and called it new.

@AngryAtlantean @MugenLord I could agree with that argument. But I don't know if you can really out do Star Fox 64 then. There's only so many locales. So many vehicles. So Many Boss level designs you can make before it all starts blurring together. I think of something like 3D Sonic or 2D Mega Man.

Because the ones that weren't, weren't even Star Fox games in premise. Star Fox is meant to be a space shooter. That's what it is. You don't have to rehash the same story from Star Fox 64 (itself a retelling of the original SNES game) in order to deliver on that gameplay style. The only true sequel to a Star Fox game that held fast to that gameplay style was Star Fox 2, which wasn't Nintendo's creation, it was still Argonaut's creation. It was finished and ready to go, but it was canceled in part because Nintendo didn't want their version, Star Fox 64, to look bad.
