My great gma left me a ton of dough when she died. My parents stole my interest checks for 10 years. I didn’t even know what an interest check was until my cousin asked me how much $$ I got from my interest check. Stealing from anyone is bad but stealing from family is different level.

Alec Bohm's parents used money from his own charitable foundation to pay their personal bills. Not just his MLB salary. Not just the investment accounts they set up without telling him what was in them. His charity. The Alec Bohm Foundation. They took from that too. And when Bohm finally asked for account statements and login info in January, they hired a lawyer instead of answering. Seven years of this. LLCs they controlled, accounts he couldn't access, millions funneled away from a guy who trusted the two people you're supposed to be able to trust. The lawsuit is asking for $3 million minimum. Now I'm seeing people online saying he should be grateful because they raised him. I genuinely don't know what to say to that. They raised him and then allegedly robbed him for the better part of a decade. That's not a defense. That's the whole point. It only worked because he trusted them. Theft is theft. The people who did it don't get a discount because they're family.

We all heard the rumors of Nico to the Giants during the offseason. Maybe he saw how horrible their defense is and decided he wants to stay with Dansby, Busch, etc. Go Cubs!

@FantasyGalaxies After the Phantom Menace I stopped watching Star Wars altogether for a long time. I then watched all the movies with my kids in 2017 and I ended with the opinion of… the prequels aren’t good. Bad and rushed story with a lot of flaws. If you like it, good.

@bestofstarwar We went to see this in theaters. Star Wars was something we had obsessed over for years and never thought would continue (or have movies showing the backstory). This movie was something bad I never watched Star Wars again until I had kids.

There are individual scenes that are fine or even good. However, most of it is lame at best and large chunks are nonsense that doesn’t lineup with the movies they are prequels of.

Here’s the thing about baseball; is that kind of interesting? Yes. Does it actually matter or mean anything? I don’t know and I think probably not. They’re not as bad as they were two years ago, even though they didn’t do this back then.

Good for Murakami and good for the Sox. This Cubs fan is rooting for both of them. Baseball is better when Chicago has two competitive teams and when foreign players bring their skills to MLB.
