This table illustrates the issue pretty well. The February 1st deadline has restricted us from using both ScriptTags and UI Extensions for customers who haven't upgraded. There has to be a better way than cutting off installs completely! @ShopifyDevs @tobi

Hey @ShopifyDevs this is a big problem. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Script tag creation is blocked, but merchants aren't forced to use checkout extensibility for another 6+ months. This means we CANNOT deploy our app for merchants in the in between state. ๐Ÿ˜ญ And a VERY large percentage have not switched to extensibility yet. Pixels aren't a solution here (we have to manipulate the dom), and neither are UI extensions because they haven't upgraded. I get the logic here, but in the context of an app like ours there's nothing blocking. It's an easy swap as soon as they upgrade to extensibility. We're not the only ones with an issue here, but maybe we missed something... cc @harleyf & @tobi (ya'll are the best) and my good friend @pmillegan.

Happy National Flag Day, Canada! 60 years ago today, the iconic Maple Leaf flag was first raised. From Parliament Hill to front porches across the nation, this beloved symbol of peace and unity continues to wave proudly ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

@KirkSalisbury @mhp_guy Also creating segments has a learning curve, but we use ChatGPT to write the code, just give GPT an example code and it can learn how to write it for you based on your segment like โ€œcustomers who havenโ€™t purchased in the last 30 daysโ€ ect

"How often should I email my customer list? I'm afraid I'll annoy them." I have some thoughts here, backed by hard data. We just wrapped up a 30 day A/B test with one of our eCommerce brands and we did this: - Split the list into 2 groups - List A we emailed twice per week - our normal cadence - List B we emailed EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Our fear was that when we have an important email, list B would be less likely to open and/or buy because they were numb to our emails. DIDN'T HAPPEN. On day 30 we dropped a new product and had our 3rd best day in company history. The differences in open, click and purchase rates were almost exactly the same between two lists. And list B generated an extra $20k in revenue over the last 30 days from all the extra emails we sent them. Yes, we lost a bunch of emails to more unsubscribes, but we netted out waaaay ahead. It's not even close. Those unsubscribers were very unlikely to ever buy, anyway. We'll keep this test going for another 30 days to see how customers respond during an off-peak month. Your customers are being sold to, let's say, 3,000 times per week. Would you rather pop up in their feed 2/3,000 times or 7/7,000 times? As a consumer I would hate it if I don't unsubscribe relentlessly, but I do. I don't get any annoying brand emails. But as a brand owner, I will email them every single day. No pictures, no flashy graphics, 4 sentences or less, < 3 word subject lines and 1 link. Also, don't use retention . com. I've tested and reverse engineered that 6 ways past Sunday, and you aren't getting a positive ROI in 90% of cases, despite what their metrics tell you. But that's a long tweet for another day.

I just had a good call with President Trump. Canada is implementing our $1.3 billion border plan โ€” reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with our American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl.ย Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border. ย  In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, we will list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. I have also signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and we will be backing it with $200 million. ย  Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together.

Agreed. The idea that if we stop a few more kgs of fentanyl or even triple our investment in border security we will stave off tariffs is the height of wishful thinking. This is an attack on our sovereignty. Appeasement was a bad plan for Chamberlain, and it's a bad plan for us.

@BrandonMChu @JustinTrudeau It's actually much more strategic than tit for tat. He's minimizing Canadian impact by targeting goods that are feasible to substitute. He's also targeting red states as opposed to blanket tariffs. When Goliath tries to kill you, you must use asymmetrical attacks to survive.

Is it just me who's been struggling with the new reports section in @Shopify ? It used to be so easy to pull custom reports & now adding this whole ShopifyQL has made it so complicated to pull reports now. I hope they revert it back to the previous version. @tobi @ShopifySupport

@BowTiedOpossum @Shopify to clarify - you are looking for this feature to compare whatever time period has passed today (say, first 13 hours of today) to the same 13 hour period yesterday? i.e. if I run it at noon today, it compares to yesterday from midnight to noon?
