@evmcglam @SimplyStandinBi @LOGOinvestor @TomSteyer Tom won’t take action. Like many politicians, he’s aligned with interest groups that benefit from the current system. In California, layers of regulation and fees keep driving up costs. When policies fall short, the response is often more regulation—not less.

Young Californians aren't doing anything wrong. They're just living in a state that stopped building homes. I'll build one million homes in four years.

@evmcglam @SimplyStandinBi @LOGOinvestor @TomSteyer Politicians will say what sounds good—but where’s the plan to reduce building costs? In CA, regulations, fees, and permitting delays are a real part of why housing is expensive. Even some housing studies show small landlords are pulling back due to risk from current policies.

i once dated someone and we got into a playful argument about why they wouldn’t share location “i’m a very private person, this feels like it’s moving too fast, that’s a big step” months later, after it didn’t work out, we were friends and i said “ok i need your location for logistics” he admitted the real reason he wouldn’t share it was because he never left the house and didn’t want anyone to see

@kpapastephanou @Andrew611140 @DaveShapi This assumes that there are no market failures and that mobility between jobs is cost less. Neither are true. Oligarchic coordination btwn top firms and government ensure that poverty wages are taken. Also moving costs a prohibitive amount, especially if you’re leaving low pay.

@evmcglam @Andrew611140 @DaveShapi They received a wage they agreed on. If they don't like it then they can work for someone else. If no one offers good wages people can leave the country as has happened in the past and find work elsewhere, and then the employers will have a shortage of staff and increase wages.

@SimplyStandinBi @LOGOinvestor @TomSteyer Does the “common sense economics” you’re talking about factor in government bureaucracy, red tape, county costs, and the Democrat policies created over the last 20 years that have contributed to these high costs?

@mrvizcarrondo @jonxgenius Mall introduced a 6pm curfew for unaccompanied teens when I was 17. The gas station will call cops for loitering. What ur advocating for is just breaking those rules, which id support

@shivmalik The housing crisis is a product of government. The prices are the highest in places with the most regulations. Look at the Pacific Palisades. Rebuilding just one of those beachfront foundations to modern code requires 3000 metric yards of concrete that 300 concrete trucks

Dear boomers, can you afford to buy the house you live in currently with the wage you used to earn before you retired? If you can’t, then that’s the whole housing problem in a nutshell. It really is that simple to understand.

I have been laid off. I also had to retire when the Russians quiet and the Navy did away with my platform. Yep a career on track to make O-6 ended at O-4 when every military pilot with a couple thousand hours was looking to the airlines. Yea, don't tell me about recruiting hell, been there. However, unlike you, instead of whining and blaming "old timers," I just found a different path and with some work, made it happen. You should try it.

Generation Z is increasingly giving up on once-standard financial goals, especially home ownership, traditional saving patterns, and linear career models, and instead embracing immediate spending, riskier financial behavior, and lifestyle-first decisions, per FORTUNE

@evmcglam @CoreyWriting What in the heck is "better" about ATL now vs 96? You might be the only person from ATL I've ever heard say something like that. Safer? Maybe. But depends on what you call safety bc burglary is up.
