@BrianNiemeier @Pirat_Nation It’s a bad future for physical disc games, but it’s a boom for movies. I’ve bought so many used blu rays for cheap on eBay.

@Pirat_Nation Consumers increasingly embraced digital convenience. Publishers mistook it for permission to redefine ownership.

PlayStation fans are massively cancelling their PS Plus subscriptions to protest Sony’s move toward a digital-only future. Many players are sharing screenshots of their cancelled subscriptions online, this is one of the few ways gamers can send a clear message to Sony that they want games on physical discs. Money is the only language these companies understand. Everyone is worried about game ownership and preserving games Keep the backlash.

What you ou can expect from a William Kaufman-directed film is solid action, realistic combat sequences and deep characters that you’ll want to follow. Check out Man of War tomorrow.

Mainstream media may not be our biggest fan, but our target audience definitely is doing an incredible job to supporting us. If you see it and like it, please give us a vote on rotten tomatoes and IMDb. Thank you guys! #UnapologeticallyGenreAlways

@DisgracedProp @RayGunEtiquette I always keep an eye out for Sonnier’s movies, especially the S. Craig Zahler ones. He also produced some Stone Cold Steve Austin action movies years ago that are pretty solid.

For all those complaining about RW art not being funded, Dallas Sonnier has now produced 10+ films featuring RW artists (many cancelled) with strong RW messages that have been released around the world. They've starred Mel Gibson, Kurt Russell, Vince Vaughn, and Thomas Jane. Yet few cite him in their longwinded thinkpieces on the subject. Why is this? Because their job isn't to make RW art, or RW culture, or RW anything. Their job is to complain about the lack of it. Listen to full episode with Dallas Sonnier on The Carousel and on MAMA podcast.

"The Shadow" was released on this day in 1994. Magnificent pulp adventure movie (based on the radio series and classic Walter Gibson novels) from director Russell Mulcahy and screenwriter David Koepp. Highlights: Extraordinary cinematography by Stephen H. Burum; Oscar-worthy costume design by Bob Ringwood; spectacular Jerry Goldsmith score. "The Shadow" kept itself hidden from audiences, becoming yet another pulp-inspired box office casualty of the 90s. I was incredibly taken with the movie in the summer of 1994 while living in Canada (dragging many of my film school friends with me to see it multiple times!) and, decades later, I'm still enamored with it. From the art-deco production design by Joseph Nemec to the fantastic bordering-on-camp performances (the always-underrated Penelope Ann Miller is particularly great here), "The Shadow" is spectacularly entertaining. My favorite film of 1994.

@AVARY Ghosts of Mars felt so low effort with poor direction and terrible editing dissolves. Escape From LA at least had some clever satire.

Carpenter shot these two films back to back, having written them both after taking quantum physics courses at UCLA. Between these two Carpenter classics, which is your quantum favorite?

My mother, Joanne, loved the Western genre. She read every Zane Grey novel he ever wrote. I know because I drew stick-figure cartoons in the margins of her massive paperback collection. Westerns, by nature, are riddled with clichés – the steely-eyed, unshaven hero protecting innocent pioneers from brutal, unforgiving savages. With Reconcile, I tried to sidestep many of the cliché elements we've read or seen in Westerns for a generation. Reality isn't tidy or reliable. Reality has unpleasant circumstances that don't always resolve themselves like they do in the movies. In the heat of battle, the "good guys" and "bad guys" aren't so easily defined. In the sprawling history of the American West, I'd like to think a different kind of story was possible, and I hope you enjoy it. a.co/d/0cBipikD books.apple.com/us/book/reconc…

Ah. No dialogue screams "Solomon Kane" louder than "I am at a loss of right and wrong". Fire Zircher, already. His comics don't sell, he's an atheist asscanoe writing a Puritan Christian hero, and his artwork is traced.

I didn't review Citizen Vigilante because I'm friends with Uwe and I would be biased. However, I wanted to help my friend so I interviewed them instead and remained neutral throughout the interview.

I won't apologize for interviewing Armie. He's a great actor and a super nice guy. I also won't apologize for interviewing Uwe. We've been friends for 3 years now. Loyalty to friends means something to me. I'm not gonna throw either under the bus.
